Monday to Wednesday with Mrs Meiklem

It was so lovely to be back and to hear everyone’s news from the holidays.
This week we started a new PE block where we will be working on gymnastics skills. We learned different types of travelling and rolling.
We shared lots of stories about the sea and beaches because we entered a competition about keeping our beaches clean. We each designed our own poster and learned about the key features of an effective poster. We enjoyed making up our own mini dramas in groups about littering on beaches.
We started our new topic which is all about Newport at leisure. We can’t wait to compare our hobbies now to those in the past and to get out into the community.

In maths we matched digital and analogue times.
In French we learned some words for parts of the face.
