World Bee Day (May 20th)- We have been learning lots about bees and used our knowledge to complete some literacy tasks. We printed honeycomb hives and drew a detailed bee to put on them. We are also keen to plant wild flowers to help the bees.<\/p>\n

Outdoor Learning Day (May 21st) – As part of our Natural Connections Award we took part in two different challenges this week. We cooked vegan pancakes outside – they were so tasty! We also planned a journey to Forgan Arts were we did a nature photo hunt and explored the forest area.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We wrote a letter of thanks to Forgan Arts for letting us explore their grounds. All the letters included the main features.<\/p>\n
We have been focusing on reading comprehension this week. Where we have to read a text and then answer questions on it.<\/p>\n
In Maths we have been learning about compass points and the language we can use to direct someone using a simple map. We will take this learning outside in the hope that we can take part in an orienteering activity.<\/p>\n
Next week our Biodiversity learning will change from garden habitats to ocean habitats. This is to link in with World Ocean Day at the beginning of June. If anyone has any story books about marine animals we would love to read them.<\/p>\n
