Week Beginning 26/8/24


Happy Friday !
We have had a fun and hardworking week in P1/2.

P1 have been working on different rhyming activities. We have also been working on writing our names.
P2 have had a spelling assessment to do. We have been working on writing our first names and surnames making sure we take our time with our letter formations .
We have also been practising our key words.
We did a piece of personal writing this week. We were thinking about things that make us happy.

We loved exploring the loose parts . We also enjoyed outdoor learning activities . P1 worked with P1 and P2 worked with P2.

PE- We all enjoyed playing different playground games. We also enjoyed taking part in the mile.

Numeracy /Maths- We have been working on our number 10/20 and 100 learning. We enjoyed playing Sum Dog. We also worked on our 2D and 3D shape learning .

Art- We created very cool sheep as part of our farm topic.

Topic – We discussed what we knew about farms and what we would like to learn about farms.

Week Beginning 19/8/2024

Happy Friday!

We have had a great three days settling into our new class.

We have enjoyed exploring our new classroom and getting to know one another.

We have made figures of ourselves to display in our classroom. They look great!

We have talking about our families. We recognise that all our families are very special but also different. We have been drawing ourselves and our families.

PE-We had fun playing different games. Our favourite game was ‘Stuck in the mud’.

We loved running the daily mile. P1 enjoyed running with their P7 buddies.

P1 enjoyed doing some activities based around the story ‘What the Ladybird Heard?’

P2 enjoyed drawing and writing about their holiday news.

We have been working on our numbers to 10,20 and 100.
