Week Beginning 4/9/23

Happy Friday!

We have had a great week in P1/2:)

We loved making apple juice this week. We collected apples, washed them, pressed them and tasted the delicious apple juice.
We are very thankful to Mr Colville for his help.

Miss Allan was working with us on Wednesday. We loved music time.

We made bug hotels during outdoor learning time. We were working together as a team.

We read a story ‘The girl who never made mistakes’. We had a discussion about how it is ok to make mistakes and lots of learning can happen if we make a mistake.

We enjoyed running/walking the mile. In PE we have enjoyed playing different games. Our favourite this week was dodgeball.

Art- We made fantastic handprint chickens.

Topic- We were learning about male, female and baby farm animals.

Literacy- P1 were working on their sounds – p, n , c k and e. Singing songs and playing different games are helping us remember them.
We also enjoyed stories about Kipper, Biff, Chip and Floppy.
P2- We enjoyed our reading books. We were working on our spelling words. We had to rainbow write our words and write sentences with our spelling words in them.

Numeracy/Maths- We have been working hard on our numbers to 10/20/100.
We have also been exploring 2D and 3D shapes.

Have a lovely weekend.
Have fun.
Take care.
Love Primary 1/2 and Mrs Carmichael 🙂
