An interest tray was set up with the Gruffalo to spark interest of stories. Rosie, Leo, Euan and Innes showed interest of this tray as they spoke about parts of the story they liked. \u201cI like the bit with the owl.\u201d \u201cI like the mouse because he chases everyone back into their house.\u201d \u201cI like the fox bit because I just like foxes.\u201d \u201cI like the mouse because it find the Gruffalo.\u201d Both the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo\u2019s child was out on display the children were asked what book was their favourite. \u201cI like both books the same.\u201d \u201cI like the Gruffalo\u2019s child better.\u201d While observing their play they were beginning to talk about personal experiences linking to the stories. \u201cThe woods is just like berries den.\u201d \u201cThe glitter side is like Christmas with snow.\u201d The children used the puppets to retell the story and then used other characters to create their own version of the Gruffalo \u201cSonic you need to touch some snow.\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t like snow.\u201d \u201cLet\u2019s fly away from the snow.\u201d \u201cLook a den.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s no space for everyone.\u201d \u201cWe need to build another.\u201d The children confidently waited their turn and concentrated very well to tell the next part of the story and independently shared resources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.seesaw.me\/uk\/6\/9\/5\/2\/0\/e\/69520e86-4052-499e-93a8-9608e9d9c97a.jpg:::1740518304:::1209600:::1:::UKAC23L3umIBRrz7KRYhX4PQwA2c-_Q1xmVpDGbGUdhpzTPUuZCHKIN_oNsx9qitcQ7KfrIFFImyW0ZcxvQ8PQ.jpg\" width=\"270\" height=\"202\" \/><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.seesaw.me\/uk\/b\/0\/f\/c\/a\/1\/b0fca189-d296-4558-8d2b-11b9630f0376.jpg:::1740516784:::1209600:::1:::0mhFNan62ZxrO_RF1QLIyfj1bFmoLZM4YZPW_mVwpt6lo_ad8NdMEKK06GejuQBgVIp1jMlTG2rdRJRFnFXJpA.jpg\" width=\"191\" height=\"255\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This afternoon Emily and Fraser spending time at the nail bar engaged in simple role playing, using skills to engage and negotiate with each other. Fraser used his fine motor to manipulate the tops, twisting on and off, then hand and eye coordination to place the varnish onto the nails. They worked the way through a dinosaur and Pater Pan, then we looked at a range of feelings and they could confidently describe what they could see in the completed puzzle. A group of children created their own dreams and fairy tale by creating their own story using the book You Choose. The confidently and independently preformed and repeated dance moves while dancing along to a holiday park video. We had triangle sandwiches of cheese or Ham, with had the Hungry caterpillar made with grapes and cucumber along with a pot of apple juice for tea. We also made jam tarts but unfortunately they got stuck in the baking trays so we quickly made more. This was a good example to show the children that sometimes things don\u2019t work, so we keep trying. They decided to help make smoothies at snack today. They discussed how the blender works and what ingredients were needed. If your child has any special requests for a certain book please ask a member of staff or send a message on seesaw and we can help you \ud83d\ude03There will be a folder with your child\u2019s name for them to put the book in for its journey to home and back \ud83d\udcc1A tray will be available for you to put in your returned books so we can quarantine and clean them before putting them on display again, if you have any questions, any member of staff would be happy to help \u263a\ufe0f<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>Reminders<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Can all parents label items of\u00a0 your child&#8217;s clothing.<\/li>\n<li>Can all parents put in at least one full change of clothing for water play and accidents.<\/li>\n<li>Can all parents if your child has a packed lunch can we please ensure grapes and big fruits are cut to minimise the risk of choking.\ud83c\udf47<\/li>\n<li>Can we remind all parents\\carers to park in a white space only as the yellow spaces are for staff only.<\/li>\n<li>Can all parents ensure your child has a set of waterproofs and wellies to play outside when it\u2019s wet.<\/li>\n<li>Our nursery blog is sent out every week on a Friday afternoon.<\/li>\n<li>If your child is going to be picked up by someone else, please let the ladies know or the office so we are aware.<\/li>\n<li>Can we ensure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.<\/li>\n<li>Can we ensure when you are leaving the nursery that the gate is locked.<\/li>\n<li>There is learning at home sheets available in the nursery to share your child&#8217;s learning and experiences you do at home.\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s3\">\ud83d\udcad<\/span><span class=\"s2\">Any changes to your child\u2019s Diet or Medication?
