Newport Nursery week 29.09.25

Hello everyone, we hope you all have had a great week! Here is a quick look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… creativity, motor skills, team work, communication, balancing skills, hand/eye coordination, numeracy, literacy, self confidence, exploring, predicting, being curious, sharing, self-esteem, technology, outdoor learning and problem solving.

At the forest this all the children were fully engaged in a range of play experiences. We had some children showing concern for the monster head that had somehow fallen over and was missing bits. They felt sorry for him so they helped to put him back together again. Another group was seen using their gross motor skills in using the rope swing to twist and turn to see who could do the most. We observed lots of tree climbing skills with discussions on  being safe. They enjoyed a warm snack of beans and pitta bread, along with a drink of warm milk or water .One child then began to use sticks to drum, this then led to a music wall created using string and a selection of sticks, which resulted in a round of queen songs being sung.

A few afternoons the children ventured down to the bottom garden using the space well, from climbing and exploring the loose parts,.

Outside this week we have been observing lots of mark making using the chalk and water to create a range of lines  and talking about directions, letters or numbers. In the mud kitchen they have been using  a range of loose natural parts such as conkers, cones, leaves and lavender using skills to mix, weigh and to cut up the lavender. They then created a restaurant adding a till and money to extend their play learning.

Inside we have also observed lots of children developing their own literacy and numeracy  skills through a range of different experiences. We recently set up a small area linked to time. We added a clock a other time related resources for the children to explore.  One child then helped to select some books to support their learning interest.

“Its a storm one”

“And that one got a wolf too”

The learning wall is still developing with an interest in shown this week in how the Octopus change change form, colour and texture. Lots of discussion arose from watching the video explaining and showing she children the different processes. This is now on display and we have now sent out a form and we are looking forward to seeing your responses to enable us to take forward.

Newport Nursery week of 08.09.25

Hello everyone, we hope you all have had a great week! Here is a quick look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… creativity, motor skills, team work, communication, balancing skills, hand/eye coordination, numeracy, literacy, self confidence, exploring, predicting, being curious, sharing, self-esteem, technology, outdoor learning and problem solving.

In all weather conditions this week  outside we have observed the children engaging in a variety of role play scenarios where they have assume roles from the world around them. We have seen lots of sharing, and listening to others ideas and lots of detailed descriptive language being used to describe what the items of loose parts are being used for We have seen pirates and treasure maps where a group used their mark making skills to create their maps. Some children have been using skills to investigate and explore to create the best solution in creating a ramp for a truck to go down. While others were seen exploring the flow of water  and how far it would go by pushing it.

Some children asked to go to the bottom garden to explore the environment. We observed lots of skills to climb,  independently developing their awareness to risk asses on being safe while  in the trees. Some explored the large pipes, using skills to push, roll, using a range of  descriptive language and make comparisons. A group shared their knowledge of not to touch or eat anything found outside after discovering a large group of mushrooms.

“You don’t eat them because they might be poisonous, and they can make you poorly”.

Inside our Learning wall topic of animals and sea life is slowly developing with more children now becoming more engaged and are sharing their work and ideas, thoughts to it. We have had one child sharing his favourite books and drawing a picture of his favourite character. Another after asking a question if Star fish are real, completed some research on this and  shared her learning to others

” they live in all the seas”,

“they like being on their own, they’re grumpy”

After an initial interest in shadows after reading the story of the Gruffalo’s child, the adult supported a child to create an area to investigate more shadows through using a book, torch and dark pieces of material. They used skills to find the solution to recreate a shadow, inspiring others to experience this too. This lead to the children using a book to explore other experiments they could experience. The resources were left out to allow the children to independently explore throughout the week.

“The shadow doesn’t work if you point the torch down”

“You have to point it up”

One child outside in the sun noticed that his shadow….

“it looks really tall”

At snack the children worked with the adult to make freshly squeezed orange juice. They demonstrated skills to cut, squeeze, sieve and pour using a range to utensils that sparked conversations on why we need fruit, and less of unhealthy foods. They shared their knowledge, linking personal experiences at from home.

“We could lemons, they are sour”

“Apple juice too”

“I would like apple juice, or bananas”.

The children have been really creative whilst sharing their feelings about being at nursery. They have created images of themselves using  oil pastels and a mirror. The discussions also included their knowledge of facial features and body parts, but also how we similar and different  but we’re the same too. These will be displayed in the dining hall for the children to share with others around.

Newport Nursery week of the 23.6.25

Hello everyone, we hope you  all have had a great week! Here is a look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… creativity, motor skills, team work, communication, balancing skills, hand/eye coordination, numeracy, literacy, self confidence, exploring, predicting, being curious, sharing, self-esteem, technology, outdoor learning and problem solving.

Even though the weather has been not so great this week, the children are still exploring and developing their learning through their play. Outside the children explored the turf tray after some of children were discussing  their holidays. With a  discussion about  the beach and what they could find on a beach they worked together to gather resources to create their own beach. The children  showed respect the resources, placing these nicely into the sand and water.

“We need animals lots of sea creatures”

“I found a baby octopus and that’s a big one.”

The children were discussing different animals and sizes.

“I’ve seen a jellyfish and orcas but I can’t remember where”.

“I’ve seen a lot of dolphins here but never when I’ve been to Spain.”

This  led to talking about what they would wear in hot countries and how to travel.

“We need to wear sun cream and sun hats when it’s hot”.

“I’ve been on a aeroplane to go to lots of places. Even Portugal and Spain.”

Another peer then said

“I got a boat before”.

Observing the children they were discussing what would happen if you would drown.

“You would need the fire engine, ambulance and even the coast guard.”

They also discussed personal experiences and different holidays they have been on .whilst they  played with a range of sea life animals..

“t

Our last forest session for this year was held on Tuesday. Some children explored the large stones around the area, recognising  and recalling the different shapes that they were similar too.

“That’s a triangle, and that’s a square”

While others explored the charcoal and was using it to mark make.. A group of children demonstrated their skills to use the rope swing, twisting and spinning around. Others enjoyed role play sharing their imaginative ideas and cooperation to deepen the play. Afterwards a hot snack and a drink, a group went on a safari through the long grass, recalling the words of going on a bear hunt. They used their skills to climb up and down steep banks sharing their knowledge of the nature around them.

The children enjoyed developing their skills to explore and investigate using their senses. They explored the bouncing putty using skills to roll, mould the dough into shapes, then try to bounce the putty into the pot. They found that by kneading the dough well made the putty bounce faster and higher. Some  children made cloud foam dough, supporting skills to mix, knead the dough and through using their senses discussed the texture, smell of the mixture, and what happens if they add more cornflour or conditioner.

Throughout the week we have observed so much  child initiated learning  occurring throughout the nursery. We’ve observed some children using the blocks to create very detailed buildings to some developing their shape recognition and matching skills when tidying up the blocks.

Others were seen developing their mark making skills using sand instead of paper, some developing their early reading skills to match names whilst helping to prepare a game for the adult. while some have revisited previous learning when discovering lots of different insects and bugs. They found a green shelled woodlouse, which they further extend the interest to learn more about this creature called a Rose chafer. A group played a game of Pokémon card hunt, demonstrating skills to search, listening to advice and using directional language, following the rules of the game and working well with others to problem solve how to reach the card that had blown out of the garden setting.. Outside one child enjoyed sharing his knowledge of the clouds and how the rain comes down, then strops, then goes slow or fast demonstrating using the sand falling onto the truck..

Our last play on pedals session for the bikers today focused on gliding and judging distance through a game called King or Queen of the castle. We also played Pirate treasure that supported skills to steer and be observant, but also early reading skills in recognition of their name and use counting,  and add and subtraction skills. All the children followed the rules giving support to others throughout the game to finish. They also recognised others achievements after judging in the distance challenge when we had the 2 winners  to become a king and queen of the castle game. Today we had 2 volunteers to support the adult, helping and preparing the area with the adult. Todays last session for the balancers ran on the same has yesterday with Leo becoming the King and Sehrish the queen of the castle for gliding the furthest. We also participated in the pirate treasure with Captain Innes being the first to find all his tokens. We finish off playing what’s the time Mr wolf focusing on using their brakes. Also can i say a very big thank you to all the parents that supported their children through remembering to bring their helmets and bikes over the last few weeks, it was much appreciated.

Newport Nursery week of the 21.04.25

Hello everyone,  welcome back to Nursey., We hope that you all had  a lovely Easter break. Here is a  quick look at what we have been up to in nursery this week…..

This week learning is… creativity, motor skills, team work, communication, balancing skills, hand/eye coordination, numeracy, literacy, self confidence, exploring, predicting, being curious, sharing, self-esteem, technology, outdoor learning and problem solving.

Lots of interest in exploring and discovering new learning in a range of topics linked to lifecycles, such as from plants, insects and frogs, to trees and human beings. This has been researched through a range of different sources such as books, computers and iPads, along with a range of activities and experiences through the nursery.

Outside, a group of children took part in a planting experience where they planted some vegetables in a see through container so we could watch them grow and observe the length of the roots over time 🌱 The children took turns to put soil into the container whilst we discussed the growing process. The children were able to identify living and non living things. We said that plants and trees were living things and so were bunny rabbits and then said that the table, a jug and a spoon were not living things. The children shared that a living thing meant “it grows and needs water and food” and the table couldn’t be a living thing because “it doesn’t grow” 🌳This is what some children shared with us…..

“the carrots should go in the middle because they have more room” 🥕

“trees are living things and the sap is their blood” Joni “we need to grow too”

“dragon fruit grows in different countries, Spain, America”

“that’s how many centimetres they will grow there’s a measure”

On Wednesday the children continued to explore and develop their learning of plants and flowers by planting sunflower seeds for the first time at nursery. They sparked discussions about the life cycle of a plant and what a plant requires to grow. The children confidently shared their knowledge with others on the basic needs of a plant.

“You need water and sunlight to make the flower grow.”

“If they don’t get water they will die.”

“Do you know a sunflower grows big, bigger than me.”

“We did some research using the iPad and discovered a sunflower grows up to 4.5m.

“When they grow we could use a measuring tape to see how big they are.”

,Yesterday the children enjoyed creating a hungry caterpillar using and following a set of instructions. and to collect the correct amount of items they needed to create. They talked about the questions asked, some were able to recognise the question mark symbol too. They used skills to thread the paper and skills to create a small paper chain, adding the facial features at the end. Throughout all the children supported each other and engaged in dialogue throughout, giving praise at the end for each others achievements.

We have also been observing the children using a range of loose parts in their imaginative play that help them make sense of their world.  One child was seen being very busy with the large tyres,

. “I’m being just like my daddy. I’m fixing the tyres on the bus.”

He shared why a tyre is needed for the bus and that it helps the bus move.

Another child was seen using a large cardboard box in his play recreating his favourite storybook character Paddington going off to Peru. Whilst others choose to decorate theirs , sharing their ideas in using a range of colours, shapes and patterns.

Inside the children have been developing their own learning of symmetry through using a range of different experiences. Some have been enjoying sharing there skills to use the mouse to create symmetrical images that incorporate a range of shapes and other creative ideas. This then lead to the children exploring other mathematical games that incorporated a Geo board that promoted their developing  hand and eye co-ordination skills . Others games and creative activities have been occuring naturally throughout the week. inside or outside. Here are a few snaps shots of the childrens fun.

Newport Nursery week of the 17.03.25

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a great week!

Outside this wek has been very busy and with the weather being so sunny and warm the children have been involved in  a range of different experiences. On Monday following from lots of interest in dinosaurs in the block area. The adult created a dinosaur land using the the turf trays and sand. It contained arange of loose parts to further deepen and expand the childrens imagination in their play.

The children demonstrated skills of role playing with the people and dinosaurs, using loose parts around the garden to make their own stories of dinosaurs up.”He’s stuck in the storm, he can’t get out.” “He can only get out if it’s sunny.” “He’s now fallen into quick sand.” “I hope the sun gets him out.” The children confidently discussed weathers that can affect us and how they impact on the environment.

“Did you know storms can wreck houses.”

The group of children went on to talk about what dinosaurs might eat.

“I think they eat leaves and tree.”

“I don’t know what they eat.

Can we use the computer to find out.”

“Or we could use a book.”

The children are beginning to show their understanding of different ways we can find out information. research . The group of children discussed the similarities and differences of the dinosaurs. “They are all dinosaurs but this one has spikes.”

“This one has a long neck.” “And this one is smaller.”

They also discussed the different shape and sizes of feet and used the sand to create patterns of the dinosaurs feet. The children understood that there was similarities and differences due to dinosaurs being different types which we all explored using books and the computer. The children demonstrated good communication skills by listening and talking to each other appropriately and sharing the resources.

Yesterday in the forest the children were engaged in a range of different experiences. Some were exploring and using sticks to dig. Others used climbing skills to see what the best tree was to climb. Some enjoyed a range of stories especially listening to a sound version of Going on a bear hunt that was sung. This led to a game of hide and seek where the children needed to follow clues sent for the children to find them that showed images of their whereabouts in the surrounding area. This lasted a good length of time before we.returned back to nursery. We will continue promoting a range of these types of experiences that promoted team work, sharing ideas , engaging and recalling their surrounding area whilst having great fun too.

We are continuing our celebrations of others festivals and religious beliefs through celebrating St Patricks Day. The children enoyed watching a short video and creating their own very glittery four leaf clover.

Also this week we have been looking at the seasonal changes that are occuring with the days getting lighter and warmer, along with the children noticing the colourful flowers and leaves. Along with the forth coming Eater bunny arriving too. We created a visual area containing items, books on Spring, Easter and the different lifecycles that occur in nature around. We set up the focused painting area with colourful spring paints, images and flowers for the children to capture in their art work. They discussed how the caterpillars turn into butterflies, and how the plants grow. They were able to name the different parts of the flower, even the roots too.

Throughout the week the children have enjoyed participating in a range of dance movement experiences, were they needed to demonstrate skills to listen, watch and follow the instructions. This inspired less confident children to experience these activities too. The children also enjoyed demonstrating their yoga/pilaties movements when using the yoga mats outside. They used pictures to copy a range of different positions to put their bodies through.

We have observed lots of different play occurring in and around the nursery this week with the children developing their own learning from creating models and discussing which has more or less. To playing games and sharing ideas to create new games with each other, taking turns , giving support and showing respect.

Also this week the children have been evaluating their own learning wall on the Animal topic. They have recalled what animal they had researched and what they had learnt., and could confidently share this information to the adult which will then be put into floorbook for the children to look back on and share with yourselves.

On Monday a group of children outside after noticing the till shared ideas and thoughts to create a small cafe that incorporatd the use of the mud kitchen.  They used skills to problem solve whilst gathering resources needed.

“I need a table and some chairs”

“I want to make stuff”

They worked with the adult to gather more resources, making the cafe come to light. They shared their knowldege through their own experiences, recognising the terms of buying and selling. They used a range of descruptive language to describe the cakes they had made ready to sell. They talked avbout beung in a cafe and cooking the need to be safe. This play inspired others to expeerience, and which was then extended into creating a real life cafe on the Wednesday morning for their snack.

On Wednesday the children were welcomed into the cafe experience. They were then able to select what food items from the menu. supporting a range of early reading and writing skills, but the freedom, rights to be able to choose their own plate of food. Some children helped to make the orders in the kitchem, and afterwards all the children shared their enjoyment of this experience asking if they could do this again.

In the forest this week the children engaged in various forms of physical activities, recognising the need for safety when they were climbing the trees. Some children discussed creating a treasure hunt, which we will develop with the children on how and what items they would like to find. Whilst there they enjoyed a hot snack and drink, returning happily back to nursery discussing what signs, numbers etc they could see.

During a natural converstion with a couple of children about bitting their nails, it evolved into talking about having  nails done at a salon. This then extended into the children asking for their own Nail bar. This the adult took forward with the support of the children creating a list of items needed. Permission obtained and we have observed a wonderful respnse from the children engaging with each other, taking different roles from being a customer to being the technician. The children demonstrated skills to negoiate with each other deciding on colours, design and pattern. But it also encourages fine motor skills through challenge to show accuracy through painting, but also skills to screww the top on and off. It also supports skills in using money to buy and sell, recognising moneu value and to add up the totals of the treatments offered. They used skills to mark make by booking in appointment, time and what treatment they wanted.

Throughout the room the children inside and outside have been developing their own learning through a range of resources, displaying skills to problem solve and working with others. Some have been using the smartboard, whilst others using games and puzzles.

The learning wall is still going through a group of children asking to find out more about the speed of different animals after sharing with the adult what they knew already.

“I know what the fastest birds that fly, and the no fly birds are”  “Its the Peregrine falcon and a Ostrich”

“I want to know the fastest Lizard”

“I want to know what the slowest snake is”

“Whats the fastest farm animal”

This research is now added to the wall for you all to see what they discovered.

Newport Nursery week of the 13.01.25.

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a great week! Here is a look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… Exploring, Predicting, Being Curious, Literacy, Mathematics, Sharing, Self-Esteem, Creativity, Motor Skills, Turn Taking, Technology, Outdoor Learning and Problem Solving.

What a busy week we have had int the nursery this week. The interest in our current learning wall of animals is still continuing this week  with a group of children showing an interest in the difference between a crocodile and a alligator. This extended to where they live, what they eat and which is the most grumpiest and biggest. They were able to recall and share their learning, expressing  that…

“Crocodiles have pointy faces” and “Alligators have roundly noses”

“Crocodiles can live in the sea and a river”

“Crocodiles are bigger than alligators”

Another child expressed an interest to discover more about Moles after engaging and sharing his interest in the story of ‘The little Mole who knew it was none of his business’. The child discussed events and characters/animals in the story along with their feelings. He then went on to discover that…

“The moles have big fingers and they dig with them”

“They can’t see very well, and they make tunnels.”

Throughout the nursery the children have been observed engaged in a range of role play scenarios that are supporting their understanding of the world around them. We have seen lots of role playing shops,  exchanging money through buying and selling that used the correct language to describe the coins and price of items. We have seen a real interest in using the Supertato puppet and veggies from the series of books, recalling events in them to create their own story using a range of actions.

Whilst a lot of skills being shown at the woodwork bench using a range of tools. materials that expressed the childrens ideas. They could confidently discuss our safety rules when using this area well. One child create a picture using a piece of wood and nails hammered in a arrangement. He then used elastic bands to create a range of images, shapes that support his fine motor skills and hand and eye co-ordination. This ten inspired others to make one too.

Outside the children used skills to investigate and explore how different doors are opened for people to enter the buildings and the nursery area. They listeded to questions and  usedskills to predict to answer these when asked by the adult,

“I wonder how……

“I wonder why……

This lead to talks on being safe in the school, visitors  being safe, along with a growing understanding of how passcodes and words are used in their everyday life. Throughout the week outside we have observed the children talking and showing skills to recognise some risks, using their iniative to seek an appropriate solution.

Some children yesterday expressed a wish to play down in the bottom garden using the large equipment displaying skills to climb, balance and move safely around.

Throughout the week the childrten are recognising and being responsible in taking care of the nursery resources and the environment, from cleaning the wall after a paint spraying activity outside. To another child independently wiping up the floor area by the water tray, recognising the need to place a sign to warn others of the wet floor.

In the mark making area the children have enjoyed using a range of materials and tools to further develop their skills to write. One group enjoyed creating their image of wach other, recognising similiaritites and differences. They identified that they both have 2 eyes, a nose, hair and a mouth.

“You’ve got curly hair”

“And you’ve got long hair.

This was also seen earlier in the week after a discussion about our bodies and the differences which lead to some children making a tally chart of the different eye colours in the room. This will be presented in a graph and will be shared in the florr book for you to view.

Throughout the week the children have been responsible in selecting and helping to create a lovely range of snacks to enjoy. They select the fruit and vegetables and a main course, all eager to help prepare these through washing, peeling, cutting up. To deciding the amount that each person can have and creating a visual number card to follow promoting their recognition of fair share.

Newport Nursery week of 9.12.24

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a great week! Here is a look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… Exploring, Predicting, Being Curious, Literacy, Mathematics, Sharing, Self-Esteem, Creativity, Motor Skills, Turn Taking, Technology, Outdoor Learning and Problem Solving.

This week in Nursery the children have been very busy further developing their current enterprise project creating lots of play dough poop. They used non standard tools to measure the ingredients, they used skills to mix and discussed the reasons why we needed to use heat to bring the dough together. They added spices for  the gingerbread man  that stimulated a discussion on their likes or dislikes whilst using their senses  to describe the other flavourings of chocolate or peppermint.. They all followed the different processes of manipulating the dough into the equal sized balls, creating groups of four. Then the bagging stage, adding the  labels next. This activity inspired others to join in, showing a growing understanding of waiting their turn and being able to do the next ones.

This lead to questions being asked about reindeers.. “Do reindeer fly?

“What do reindeer eat?

“Where do reindeer live?

This will be taken forward and then displayed onto our current learning wall.

Today the children extended their learning interest in reindeers in doing some research to find the answers to their questions, and enjoyed watching a short video that explained how Santa’s sleigh.

“They eat green things like grass and leaves”

“They live in the cold”

“Santa’s sleigh has power”

Throughout the week the children have been involved in a range of Christmas  themed activities such as developing  their writing skills in writing out a last minute Christmas wish list. They also recalled the need to sign their name at the bottom. They have also been creative in making cards for a special person that incorporated their own ideas on what a certain Christmas theme item looked like, bringing their experiences seen of these. We had a lovely Christmas Book Bug session with Miss Nelson and Mrs Laing to which all the children attended and enjoyed singing songs and listening to some Christmas stories.

Following on from their interest in the play dough making a large snowman dough poop with sparkles was made for the children to enjoy developing their manipulation skills to create a range of shapes and designs. This activity promoted social interaction with all to experience sharing their thoughts on the texture. smell anda discussion on the weather conditions linking it to the snow and ice. They also discussed a range of animals that live in these conditions, to which we have more research to do on a few popular animals. This will be researched over the next few days to be added to the wall.

Outside the children have been making the most of the dry weather incorporating a range of team games, and role situations using a range of loose parts to further develop the play. Some children were using skills to investigate speed. One child was using a bike and the other was running and they both came to discover that the bike was the fastest.

Although we didn’t make the forest this week we still had lots of fun down the bottom garden with the fire to toas marshmellows and make a smore along with a hot chocolate. The children enjoyed exploring the frost on the ground investigating the ice in the tyres, to climbing trees.

Newport Nursery week of the 18.11.24

Hello everyone, we hope you have had a great week! Here is a look at what we have been up to in nursery…..

This week learning is… Exploring, Predicting, Being Curious, Literacy, Mathematics, Sharing, Self-Esteem, Creativity, Motor Skills, Turn Taking, Technology, Outdoor Learning and Problem Solving.

This week we have seen lots of children developing their own learning through asking lots of questions demonstrating skills to research, recall the new learning and create their own images of these animals. This is now creating a fabulous learning  wall. of lots of different animals being researched. We have had questions being shared from their homes such as chickens, tigers, giraffe., panadas and many more such as a Mammoth. This came from one child at snack using cucumber has tusks that inspired others to talk about elephants leading onto Mammoth research.  We have had children sharing their parents favourite animals. I could keep going on, but please take time to look at the wall as you come into the nursery or take a learning sheet home to share with your child. The children have also been enjoying exploring the resources displaying skills to match and sort the animals.

Some of the questions asked…..

“How fast do tigers go?

How big are giraffes?

“What are Mammoths?.

Also this week the children have been sharing their knowledge and understanding on People who help us when we have been evaluating the learning topic.

This week we have also been promoting the forth coming St Andrews day celebration through creating a weaving pattern and looking at the different tartans available. This continues from the weaving and threading area that has recently been promoted in the setting.

At snack the children are continuing voicing their opinions on whether they liked the snack that day through a mark making experience. Hotdogs seems to be the favourite at the moment. One child enjoyed sharing his knowledge on fruit, recognising that it was healthy for him, and sugar was not. We also celebrated Alfie’s 5th birthday on Thursday and we all hope that he has a lovely day on Friday.

The children are continuing to enjoy a session of cosmic yoga each day after lunchtime and they are developing their skills to move their bodies into an array of positions.

Outside there have been opportunities to enjoy the nice cold weather sharing their thoughts on how it made them feel, what they have been noticing such as the leaves falling, jack frost and discovering what creatures are about. This week we had a visit from a pheasant whilst enjoying one of the many walks around the school ground. They have found mole hills, a beehive even a horse. On Friday whilst outside a group of children observed how the planes made wriggly lines and straight ones too which lead to sharing holiday experiences and their travel journeys. This lead onto discussing how the moon comes out during the day too. Another possible learning wall topic for outside.  This lead to the adults setting up a turf tray of cloud dough which feel and looks like snow for the children to explore and investigate.

We are also being extremely busy continuing with the nursery’s enterprise scheme making  items to sell over the coming weeks.

Some children are preparing for the Christmas period singing and playing instruments to the tune of Jingle bells having lots of fun sharing and exploring the instruments.
