Monday 10th February
Today Jackson and Lachlan requested to have the same hair style today as they used bands to put their hair into pony tails with support from an adult.
Today Gregor engaged in an intentional promotion about seasons and weathers using labels and objects. Gregor confidently could name all of the weathers shown and with a little bit of support names the seasons. Gregor could independently discuss why we need different clothing for different situations and demonstrated his understanding by matching the clothes he would wear to the picture of the weather and the items you would find relating to the different seasons.
This morning, Florence, Rosie and Joni explore dancing in the rain using the hula hoops and ribbons to create intentional movements. “Look I can do it this way” says Rosie.
Tuesday 11th February
Today Innes has chosen to draw a shrimp from the sea creatures book he was reading with his peers. Innes wrote out the name by copying the letters an adult had written. Innes discussed his learning from the book by saying “whales eat shrimp” and Brodie has drawn a lovely picture of a dolphin after reading a book about sea creatures. Brodie shared what he learned from the book was that “dolphins like to eat squids”
Today Rosie, Thomas and Jude have shown they can be responsible citizens by all independently decided to help tidy the block area together without being asked.
Today Elyn, Sehrish, Reuben and Joni enjoyed using their creative skills to make Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones. “I’m making mine for my mummy and daddy.” They all valued each others work by commenting on how nice each of their cards were.
