Cowdenbeath Primary School – Learning, Nurturing and Achieving Together!
Cowdenbeath Primary school is a bright and comfortable school building. . We provide an atmosphere which is secure and stimulating, where children can pursue their learning with enjoyment and increasing independence. We value our parents and carers as partners in learning.
The school was built in 1876, extended in 1902 and refurbished in 1929. The school is co educational, non-denominational and one of three primary schools in Cowdenbeath.
The school has eight primary classes and a nursery class offering morning or afternoon places to three and four year olds. Places for two year olds are also available. A central hall is used for PE and also serves as dining hall. Our computer suite is always busy and eight classrooms currently have wi-fi connections.
We also utilise a separate annexe which provides a library and a welcoming family room. The family room is used by pupils, parents and local partner agencies.
