Block Three (April – July 2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello everyone. We are excited for our busy final term together. Here is some information on what we will be working on in this block:<\/p>\n

We are striving to follow the school values everyday \u2013 Safe, Ready and Respectful. Our class charter has been created in line with these values.<\/p>\n

We are learning to consider meta-skills in all of our activities. These are discussed often and children have the opportunity to consider each one in focus through dedicated assemblies. As a result, we are becoming mindful of how and when to use our skills and will continue to identify opportunities to highlight them in our work.<\/p>\n

Topic<\/p>\n

Our topic this block is World Sporting Events, in particular the Commonwealth Games and the World Cup. As well as looking at sporting elements, we will also examine the countries involved and their cultures and traditions.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/p>\n

We are continuing to read \u2018Wonder\u2019 by R. J. Palacio in the afternoons as a class.<\/p>\n

We will be writing expositions and discussions this block.<\/p>\n

For listening and talking we will continue to present our work regularly to the class so that we can learn from sharing with each other.<\/p>\n
