{"id":447,"date":"2025-09-30T09:35:29","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T08:35:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/methilhavencarehome\/?page_id=447"},"modified":"2025-11-05T18:20:32","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T18:20:32","slug":"admissions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/methilhavencarehome\/admissions\/","title":{"rendered":"Admissions"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>\ud83d\udcdd Admissions \u2013 How to Apply for a Place at Methilhaven Nursery (via Fife Council)<\/h3>\n<p>At Methilhaven Nursery we work with Fife Council\u2019s Early Learning &amp; Childcare (ELC) admissions system for funded nursery places.<br \/>\nHere\u2019s what you need to know:<\/p>\n<p><strong>For eligible 2-year-olds<\/strong><br \/>\nIf your child meets the Scottish Government\u2019s eligibility criteria (for example certain benefits or household income thresholds) you can apply for a funded place from their second birthday.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fife.gov.uk\/kb\/docs\/articles\/education2\/early-learning,-childcare-and-nurseries\/preschool-and-school-nursery\/nursery-places-for-2-year-olds-session-202526\"><strong>2 Year Old Application<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>For 3- &amp; 4-year-olds<\/strong><br \/>\nAll children aged 3\u20134 are entitled to funded ELC hours in a Fife Council setting. Applications open each year and you are asked to provide up to five preferred nurseries (which can include Methilhaven).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fife.gov.uk\/kb\/docs\/articles\/education2\/early-learning,-childcare-and-nurseries\/preschool-and-school-nursery\/nursery-places-for-3-and-4-year-olds\"><strong>3-4 Year Old Application<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>What we ask you to do:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the relevant application form and submit by the deadline.<\/li>\n<li>Provide supporting documents such as your child\u2019s birth certificate or passport, proof of address, and any benefits evidence if required.<\/li>\n<li>Indicate Methilhaven Nursery as one of your preferred settings.<\/li>\n<li>If a place is offered, we will contact you to finalise how we will welcome your child.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Important points:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A place offered may\u00a0<em>not<\/em>\u00a0always be your first choice, so it\u2019s helpful to list several settings you\u2019d accept.<\/li>\n<li>The funded entitlement (e.g., up to 1,140 hours for 3- &amp; 4-year-olds) is free; any additional charges must be optional and clearly explained.<\/li>\n<li>If your child is moving between age groups (e.g., Early Entrants to our main 3\u20135 provision), we\u2019ll help support that transition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udcdd Admissions \u2013 How to Apply for a Place at Methilhaven Nursery (via Fife Council) At Methilhaven Nursery we work with Fife Council\u2019s Early Learning &amp; Childcare (ELC) admissions system for funded nursery places.
