Our Values

Our values were generated from everyone’s feedback. We intend to support the personal, social and emotional development of all our children at Lundin Mill by actively promoting our aims, values and vision in every aspect of school life through our daily learning and teaching experiences. We are proud to be Lundin Mill!

Our Aims

At Lundin Mill we wish to instil a life-long love of learning and equip our children with the knowledge, skills and qualities needed for their future in an ever-changing, digital landscape.

We……

  • recognise the need for all our children to be themselves and confidently know who they are, we respect and care for everyone
  • encourage positive, respectful and nurturing relationships in school, at home and in our community
  • want our children to be happy, have friends and always feel included so that they can learn without distraction
  • encourage inclusive classrooms that account for all needs and stages of development that keep our children safe and curious
  • expect our children to be responsible and take on lead roles within the school and community, capturing their creativity and flexibility
  • promote and encourage our children to belong and value our heritage by learning outdoors and exploring our local community
  • develop our children’s understanding of sustainability, while learning about our environment, locally and globally
  • provide opportunities to develop our children’s leadership skills, while committing to various roles within the school
  • encourage decision making and democracy, all children, parents and partners have a voice that is heard and acted upon
  • work as a team by planning together, our children share their interests and vote on their class topics to ensure ownership, fun and engagement
  • celebrate achievements in learning, creativity, sports, hobbies and interests from within and out with school
  • are committed to work with the children, their families and community partners, to achieve the highest standards in all aspects of school life
  • try to keep costs at a minimum to ensure all children have the opportunity to experience all of school’s little adventures
  • prepare children and young people to be ready for their next steps in their educational journey
