Lundin Mill Primary School

School

Lundin Mill Primary School was built in 1974. The main block is circular in shape. The six semi-open plan teaching areas all lead directly into the central hall, which is used for PE, drama, assemblies and school meals, with each pair of rooms sharing a tiled wet area and a set of toilets. The rooms are carpeted and have an outside wall mainly of glass which gives them a bright open feeling.
The semi-open plan nature of the main building encourages classes to work together and enables children to get to know other staff and pupils. The school is situated in very attractive grounds and there is an extensive grass area which is used for outdoor activities.
Our nursery accommodation is in a hut within the school grounds. It has its own entrance and an outdoor play area.
Within our school grounds we have developed a wildlife garden. This area is used by classes to study insect and plant life. We are also developing other areas for growing our own food stuffs
