The diagram below shows how we all work together to help support young people:<\/p>\n<p><em>Wellbeing circular diagram<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s important that children and young people understand what wellbeing is and what they can do to keep healthy. Looking at mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing through learning means they can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>decide for themselves how to improve their mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>discuss and positive aspects of healthy living and activity for themselves<\/li>\n<li>apply these new skills to live a healthy lifestyle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The idea is that this sets a pattern of health and wellbeing that they can continue into adult life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Children and young people should feel happy, safe, respected and included in the school environment and all staff should be proactive in promoting positive behaviour in the classroom, playground and the wider school community.&#8221;
