{"id":751,"date":"2024-02-26T13:38:10","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T13:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/largowardps\/?page_id=751"},"modified":"2024-02-26T14:25:56","modified_gmt":"2024-02-26T14:25:56","slug":"intensive","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/largowardps\/support-for-learning\/levels-of-support\/intensive\/","title":{"rendered":"Intensive Level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-762\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/public\/largowardps\/uploads\/sites\/12647\/2024\/02\/26141054\/Capture-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"204\" height=\"113\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At the intensive level of support there will normally be multi-agency engagement to support a child\/young person and this will often include social work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does this look like in practice?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Further assessment<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 review of prior assessment information, chronology, meet with parents, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Ask the\u00a0<strong>5 GIRFEC Questions<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ol class=\"b_dList\">\n<li data-priority=\"\">What is getting in the way of this child\u2019s wellbeing?<\/li>\n<li data-priority=\"\">Do we have all the information we need to help this child?<\/li>\n<li data-priority=\"\">What can we do now to help this child?<\/li>\n<li data-priority=\"\">What can my service do to help this child?<\/li>\n<li data-priority=\"\">What additional help, if any, may be needed from others?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ul>\n<li>Update or create a\u00a0<strong>Summary of Support\u00a0<\/strong>to be shared with all key staff<\/li>\n<li>Creation of a\u00a0<strong>Child\u2019s Plan<\/strong> (or CSP if requested).\u00a0 The full version of a child\u2019s plan may be used if planning is being co-ordinated by social work.<\/li>\n<li>Some learners may require a\u00a0<strong>Pro-Active Management Plan<\/strong>\u00a0(PAMP) when a child\u2019s\/young person\u2019s presenting<br \/>\nbehaviours are causing significant concern on<br \/>\nan ongoing basis and present a risk to themselves or others.\u00a0 This will be included in their child\u2019s plan.<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>Risk Assessment<\/strong>\u00a0may also be required when a child\/young person is presenting with behaviours which pose a risk to themselves or others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Regular Review Meetings<\/strong> or <strong>Wellbeing Meetings<\/strong> with school staff, families and any other agencies involved in supporting the child\/young person.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Requests for Assistance<\/strong> or <strong>Referrals<\/strong> may be made to other agencies and professionals to support the learner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the intensive level of support there will normally be multi-agency engagement to support a child\/young person and this will often include social work.
