FRIDAY 25 AUGUST<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Hot Meal:<\/strong> Lentil soup, Breaded fish or Salmon fish fingers and chips or Vegetable stir fry with noodles.<\/p>\n

PLT Meeting (Mrs Davidson)<\/strong>
\nThe PLT are meeting the S6 tomorrow during tutor in the Assembly Hall. Pupils should register first and come to the hall. Will be discussing duties, Saltire Help etc.<\/p>\n

S1 (Mr Farquharson)<\/strong>
\nFrom Monday, all S1 will follow a normal school day. You will be allowed where you want in the school grounds for break and lunch. You will get lunch at the normal time and will queue up with the other year groups. There will be no buddies to show you around but remember you can ask any staff member or senior pupils if you get lost!<\/p>\n

Battlefields Trip 2024 (Mr Harrower)<\/strong>
\nA few spaces have become available for the 2024 Battlefields Trip to Belgium and France. Any S3 pupil interested should collect a letter from Mr Harrower in PE as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Maths Ambassador (Emma, Natalie & Kaitlin, S6)<\/strong>
\nIf you are in S5-S6 and have an interest in Maths, want to educate younger years or make maths more enjoyable.\u00a0 We have an opportunity for you! Meeting in B1 on Monday 28 August at break. Please come along and sign up to be a Maths Ambassador!<\/p>\n

S2 Football (Mr Mooney)<\/strong>
\nCan all those wanting to take part in the S2 football this season, please attend a meeting in Mr Mooney’s room (B25 – English corridor) at breaktime today.<\/p>\n

History Trip to Krakow June 2024 (Miss Dalziel & Mrs Harrower)<\/strong>
\nIf you are currently in S4 or S5 and are interested in attending a trip to Krakow, Poland in June 2024, please attend an information meeting at breaktime (10.25am) on today in B17. See you there.<\/p>\n

Anime and Manga Club (Miss Kelsey)<\/strong>
\nAnybody interested in watching, drawing, and\/or reading anime and manga, can now attend the anime and manga club every Monday lunchtime in B29. If you are interested in attending, please come see Miss Kelsey at some point today (the 24th) or at break time on Monday (the 28th) for a lunch pass. Feel free to bring your lunch with you.<\/p>\n

S1&2 Girls Football (Mrs Steedman)<\/strong>
\nTraining will begin on Monday 3:30-4:15pm. Absolutely anyone is welcome! Make sure you bring a change of kit with you!<\/p>\n

S6 Yearbook Committee (Miss Lipton)<\/strong>
\nFor all those S6 who had shown an interest in being part of this years Yearbook Committee or any other S6 who would like to be involved – there will be a meeting Tuesday 29 August at 1:15pm in D9 Business. If you can’t make it but still want to be involved see Miss Lipton to be added to the team.<\/p>\n

S5\/S6 EMA (Mrs Cook)<\/strong>
\nIf you have applied and been approved for EMA, please bring your completed Learning Agreement form to the school office. We cannot proceed with any payments until this has been done. If you have still to apply, please do this as soon as you can. Any applications received by Fife Council after 30 September 2023 cannot be backdated and you will only be paid from the date the application is received. Please remember you also need to make a new application each academic year.<\/p>\n

\nMentors in Violence protection is a programme in schools and is a peer education programme providing young people with the language and framework to explore and challenge the attitudes, beliefs and cultural norms that underpin gender-based violence, bullying and other forms of abuse.<\/p>\n

We are looking for any S5 or S6’s who would be interested in being involved in this over the school year. Please fill out the form if you wish to be a part of it or speak to Miss Johnston, Mr Farquharson, Mrs Dempsey, Mrs Dalziel or Jayne.<\/p>\n

\nThe KHS D&D Group meets in D2 (Home Ec) every Friday after school. Take part in exciting adventures and storytelling. It’s all up to the fate of the dice!<\/p>\n

KHS Radio Show on K107FM (Dr Murray)<\/strong>
\nWe present a weekly show on Kirkcaldy’s radio station, K107FM every Saturday morning. You could be involved, even if you’re never available on a Saturday! We meet every Friday in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science) to plan the show. Come along and bring your lunch! See Dr M for a lunch\/building pass.<\/p>\n
