The information states: 20 litter-picking sessions have taken place so far in 2026. An average of 200 heavy-duty bags of rubbish have been filled. An estimated 1,000 kg (1 tonne) of waste has been removed from Middleden. The weight removed is described as being roughly equivalent to the weight of a small car or a Highland pony. Typical litter bags contain 15-20 plastic bottles, leading to an estimated 3,000-4,000 plastic bottles removed from the area. 150 kg of bulky waste has been cleared. Streams have been cleared of shopping trolleys and other debris. Multiple incidents of fly-tipping have been identified and reported. The infographic uses large, high-contrast text to present key achievements and environmental statistics. The bright green colour scheme reinforces the themes of conservation, community action and environmental stewardship. The overall message emphasises the significant contribution made by volunteers in improving and protecting the Middleden woodland area during 2026." />

    <img decoding="async" width="150" height="150" src="https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/fi/public/kirkcaldyhighschool/uploads/sites/12475/2026/10/09173918/2026-10-09-Den-Clearing-8-150x150.jpg" class="attachment-thumbnail size-thumbnail" alt="Thank-you slide recognising Stephen's Bakery for supporting the Middleden Green Team.
