Our S1 pupils had an unforgettable experience when they visited the Adam Smith Theatre<\/em> in Kirkcaldy to see the festive pantomime Aladdin<\/em> \u2014 part of this year\u2019s winter theatre season. Aladdin<\/em> is a bright, family-friendly production full of sparkling costumes, laugh-out-loud moments and magical storytelling<\/strong>, a perfect introduction to live theatre for our pupils.<\/p>\n From the moment we arrived, the excitement was infectious! The theatre buzzed with anticipation as our pupils took their seats in the beautifully restored venue. The performance followed the classic tale of Aladdin\u2019s adventure with a magic lamp, a wise-cracking Genie, and the courageous Princess Jasmine<\/strong>, all brought to life with spectacular songs, witty humour and plenty of audience participation.<\/p>\n Our pupils were captivated by the dazzling set design and the energetic cast, including the hilarious Dame Pattie McBottie and the mischievous Wipey McBottie, who kept everyone laughing throughout the show. The visit also offered meaningful learning beyond the classroom. Watching a live performance encouraged imagination, developed listening and social skills, and helped pupils gain confidence in experiencing arts and culture in a real-world setting.
