Earlier this week, a group of our S3 pupils taking part in the Future Asset short course visited the Scottish National Investment Bank<\/a> for an inspiring and informative learning experience.<\/p>\n During the visit, pupils heard from Associate Directors who delivered a fascinating presentation on the bank\u2019s investment portfolio \u2014 including affordable housing, renewable energy, and a wide range of net-zero projects currently underway across Scotland.<\/p>\n The session also included a lively Q&A, giving our young people the chance to ask about what it\u2019s really like to work in finance, the variety of roles within the industry, and the different career paths that can lead to a job in investment.<\/p>\n Afterwards, the group recorded their own elevator pitches as part of their entry to the Growing Future Assets competition taking place next month. The Scottish National Investment Bank is a key supporter of Future Asset, a charity working to inspire girls to consider careers in finance and investment and to help address the gender imbalance in senior financial roles across the UK.<\/p>\n Two of the three groups involved in the project have been researching Wingstop as part of their investment analysis. So, of course, we made the most of the day and carried out some primary research over lunch with a trip to Wingstop<\/a> itself!<\/p>\n Well done to all pupils involved for their enthusiasm and professionalism throughout the visit.
