Hot Meal:\u00a0<\/strong> Soup of the day, Fish Fingers or Scottish Breaded Haddock served with Chips, Southern Style Chicken Goujon Fajita, Quorn Fajita. Chicken Fries at breaktime.<\/p>\n

Crochet Club (Mrs Christie)<\/strong>
\nSTARTING TUESDAY NEXT WEEK<\/p>\n

There has been LOTS of interest. And lots of keen crocheters! Therefore there will be a limited number of spaces available.<\/p>\n

There will be space for 12 beginners who have no experience. Experienced crocheters are welcome.<\/p>\n

Please see Mrs Christie in her office (Carlyle Gudiance Base) to sign up at break and lunch this week and receive a pass<\/p>\n

The Club will run in B17 on Tuesday lunchtimes.<\/p>\n

\nMeeting today at break in E9 for all those involved.<\/p>\n

S1 First Chances (Dr Black)<\/strong>
\nIf you were involved in the First Chances Program in primary 7, please attend a short meeting in A5 in Science, at break time today to sign up for this year.<\/p>\n

Services Apprenticeship (Mrs Smith)<\/strong>
\nServices Apprenticeship workshops will take place at Building Services Business Centre, Muirhead, Kirkcaldy. Tuesday 30th September. 10-12pm<\/p>\n

These sessions are targeted at senior phase pupils (S4, 5, 6) who plan on leaving school either winter 2025 or summer 2026. Pupils should have an interest in seeking an apprenticeship in construction\/fleet\/grounds maintenance within Building Services.<\/p>\n

Limites spaces. See Mrs Smith D2 if you wish to be considered.<\/p>\n

\nSchool Photographs (Mrs Lowson)<\/strong>
\nSchool Photographs will be taken on Wednesday 1 October 2025 in the school assembly hall. Pupils should wear school uniform, arriving promptly and following all instructions to allow the photographers to process the large number of pupils who will be taking part.
\nPupils will be required to return to class after their photograph has been taken.<\/p>\n

Christmas Fayre \u2013 Raffle Donations (Events Team & Mr. Caldwell)<\/strong>
\nWe\u2019re excited to announce the Kirkcaldy High School Christmas Fayre on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, and we\u2019d love your help to make it extra special! We\u2019re putting together a festive raffle to raise funds for local charities, and would be so grateful for any donations – big or small – whether it\u2019s a gift, voucher, or larger prize. Every contribution helps us create a brilliant selection of prizes, and donors will be warmly acknowledged at the event. Donations can be dropped off in D10. Benign<\/em><\/p>\n

Definition:<\/strong> Benign describes something that does not cause harm or damage. In medical contexts it is used to describe something that does not threaten life or health (as in “a benign<\/em> tumor”). Additional meanings include “mild and pleasant” (as in “benign<\/em> weather conditions”) and “showing kindness and gentleness” (as in “a benign<\/em>\u00a0outlook”).<\/p>\n

Example:<\/strong> The project required that we manage some inconvenient but ultimately benign<\/em> conditions.<\/p>\n
