Hot Meal:\u00a0<\/strong> Soup of the day, Traditional Macaroni Cheese served with Garlic Bread or Tasty Tomato Tuna Pastabake with Garlic Bread. Chicken Fries at breaktime.<\/p>\n

Badminton Club (Mr Harrower)<\/strong>
\nDue to a primary netball event, Badminton club is cancelled afterschool today. The club will resume next week.<\/p>\n

S4-S6 Volleyball Club (Active Schools Co-ordinator)<\/strong>
\nTomorrow is the first day of the S4-S6 Volleyball Club in the games hall at lunch time. Speak to Kate- Active Schools Coordinator if you have any questions.<\/p>\n

S1-6 Netball (Mrs Steedman)<\/strong>
\nDue to really low numbers across all year groups we are combining training nights to a Tuesday 3.30-4.15pm. Please can everyone who wants to play for the school netball team this year try your best to attend training starting this Tuesday! Remind your friends and get as many people along as you can!<\/p>\n

Christmas Fayre \u2013 Raffle Donations (Events Team & Mr. Caldwell)<\/strong>
\nWe\u2019re excited to announce the Kirkcaldy High School Christmas Fayre on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, and we\u2019d love your help to make it extra special! We\u2019re putting together a festive raffle to raise funds for local charities, and would be so grateful for any donations – big or small – whether it\u2019s a gift, voucher, or larger prize. Every contribution helps us create a brilliant selection of prizes, and donors will be warmly acknowledged at the event. Donations can be dropped off in D10. \nContinuing our celebration of the different cultures and languages within our school, we say goodbye to August and to China, and “Hiya” or “Ciao” to September and to …Italy!<\/p>\n

Benign<\/em><\/p>\n

Definition:<\/strong> Benign describes something that does not cause harm or damage. In medical contexts it is used to describe something that does not threaten life or health (as in “a benign<\/em> tumor”). Additional meanings include “mild and pleasant” (as in “benign<\/em> weather conditions”) and “showing kindness and gentleness” (as in “a benign<\/em>\u00a0outlook”).<\/p>\n

Example:<\/strong> The project required that we manage some inconvenient but ultimately benign<\/em> conditions.<\/p>\n
