We are off to a positive start. To restrict the risk of virus transfer, we have reduced the capacity in the dinner hall. There are now a maximum of three seats to each table and you must not move any of the chairs around. Also, there must be no standing around in groups. Clustering together indoors remains a high risk activity and it would only take one positive case to result in 10 or even 20 people having to miss two weeks of school. For anyone, especially those working on evidence for SQA qualifications, it’s the last thing we want. I think that you should know that we have received notification of quite a few positive tests among young people over the break. A couple of areas of the school (eg outside the assembly hall), where ventilation is particularly poor, are now “out of bounds”. Please take your breaks and have lunch outside whenever possible. Fresh air is one of the best mitigations against virus spread. Best wishes.

Packed Lunches – Assembly Hall (J Davidson)
Where possible please sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and fresh air if you bring a packed lunch. The Assembly Hall is available but please note it will be reduced capacity (3 to a table) and windows will be open.

Ramadan Mubarak! If you need some quiet time for reflection or just need some time away from the food in the dinner hall, please head up to C12 during lunch and break for the duration of Ramadan and Ms Mahr will help you out!
