\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Location<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>King&#8217;s Road Primary School is a non-denominational school which serves families living within the Rosyth area.\u00a0 The original King&#8217;s Road School was for secondary children and opened in 1918. In 1973 it became a primary school. It was destroyed by a fire in July 2001. Our new school was completed in January 2004 and officially opened in October 2005. Our school\u00a0 opened to pupils in October 2006.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our Accommodation and Grounds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>King&#8217;s Road Primary School houses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>19 classrooms<\/li>\n<li>a 70 place open plan nursery,<\/li>\n<li>an under 3 provision, 3 GP rooms<\/li>\n<li>a large assembly\/dining hall,\/gymnasium space<\/li>\n<li>a large reception with open plan office accommodation<\/li>\n<li>a medical room<\/li>\n<li>a library<\/li>\n<li>a &#8216;snug&#8217; to support learning and wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>staffrooms<\/li>\n<li>a large enclosed courtyard called the quad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our building is single storey with disabled access and toilet facilities. It features a large enclosed courtyard called the quad.<\/p>\n<p>External facilities include secure hard-surfaced playgrounds on either side of the building, an enclosed garden for nursery children, a climbing frame in the lower playground and a grassy area in the upper playground.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Children attending our setting.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We provide pre-school education for children aged 2, 3 &amp; 4 years within our nursery and education for our Primary 1 to Primary 7 children within our mainstream setting.<\/p>\n<p>Most pupils entering Primary 1 in August each year have attended our nursery provision. We also welcome many children from partner providers and nurseries from within the local area.<\/p>\n<p>Most of our children transition from Primary 7\u00a0 to Inverkeithing High School, our associated high school. We work closely with other High Schools that children may transition to.<\/p>\n<p>The primary school within our Inverkeithing High School &#8216;cluster&#8217; are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aberdour<\/li>\n<li>Camdean<\/li>\n<li>Dalgety Bay<\/li>\n<li>Donibristle<\/li>\n<li>Inverkeithing<\/li>\n<li>North Queensferry<\/li>\n<li>Park Road<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pupils from these schools also transfer to Inverkeithing Secondary School at the end of their Primary 7 year. In August 2026 a new high school will be opening in Rosyth called Caledonia High School. All children currently attending Inverkeithing High School will move there.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Partnership with parents is very important to us and we believe this helps our children make good progress as possible in their learning.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">In normal times we would normally encourage and welcome the involvement of parents and carers in a variety of ways. Due to current restrictions this is currently on hold. We look forward to inviting you back into our setting as soon as we can.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The senior leadership team consists of a Headteachers and 2 Depute Headteachers.
