{"id":67,"date":"2021-03-10T08:49:46","date_gmt":"2021-03-10T08:49:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/kinglassieprimaryschool\/?page_id=67"},"modified":"2024-12-10T15:09:11","modified_gmt":"2024-12-10T15:09:11","slug":"achievements","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/kinglassieprimaryschool\/achievements\/","title":{"rendered":"Achievements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Each week we celebrate our achievements at our school assembly.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Children from each class are awarded if they have been:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">Over and Above awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">These<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"none\">link in closely with our Positive Relationships policy<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">HOUSE POINTS<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The House system is run entirely by the children and is supported by Mrs Ferns. The children meet regularly to discuss issues in school and ideas for making improvements to the way the children in their House are responding to the points system. House points are used to give children points for:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"1\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">wearing school uniform<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"2\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">being a &#8216;star&#8217;<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"3\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">producing a piece of work to be proud of<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"4\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">good or improved behaviour<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"5\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">good manners<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"6\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">wearing their house badge<\/span><\/li>\n<li data-aria-posinset=\"7\" data-aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">other areas of focus decided by House Captains and Vice Captains<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The House Captains and Vice Captains meet with their house members to share the focus of their house and to remind the House that they are all working towards a shared goal. House Points are collected on a Friday and shared at assembly. The winning House decide on a reward for doing well. These rewards are termly and\u00a0 annually. Every adult in the school has a set of House Point Stickers which are handed out for displaying the above attributes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">RECOGNITION BOARD<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Each class has a recognition board and children with the support of the teacher identify a target for everyone to work towards. When a child has been observed showing the target then they are placed on the recognition board. The class encourage everyone to be able to get onto the board and once everyone is on the board the class celebrate that success before moving onto another target. Example targets: listening to others, being kind etc<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Once the class target is achieved a star is displaced in the school hall to help promote whole school celebration.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each week we celebrate our achievements at our school assembly.
