RME (Religious, Moral Education) is the name given to the Core subject. It is one of the 8 Curriculum Areas in Scotland. This is a subject that you will get 1 period a week in S1, S2 and S4. In S3, you will come to the department as part of the enrichment rota to compete in a competition called YPI.

RMPS (Religious, Moral, Philosophical Studies) is the name given to the subject when you choose to study it at National 3/4/5, Higher, Advanced Higher.
Although there are some crossovers between RME and RMPS, they are both completely different.
RMPS is similar to Social Subjects such as History and Modern Studies.

Psychology is a subject that we offer in the senior school for S5 and S6 pupils at Higher level. It is a Higher course and requires students to have a high level of literacy skills and preferably be studying or studied a Science at Higher.
