In line with the Scottish Government’s ‘Hungry for Success’ policy, Fife Council provides tasty, healthy meals to young Fifers. All of our meals conform to national nutritional standards which you can read or download on\u00a0the Scottish Government website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The national nutritional standards demand that a Fife school lunch provides at least one third of the daily nutritional requirements of pupils. Our menus provide nutritious choices that ensure a balanced diet over the week.<\/p>\n

A primary school meal costs only \u00a32.40 per day and you can view\/download the menu in English, Polish, Ukranian, Romanian and Pakistani Punjabi.<\/p>\n

We offer two weekly menus that are available on alternating weeks. These menus have been designed to provide nutritious choices that ensure a balanced diet over the week, providing at least one third of the daily nutritional requirements of pupils.<\/p>\n

Primary Schools Meals are free to all Primary One to Primary Five children, inclusive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For children in P6 and P7 that are not eligible for the Free School Meal Entitlement program can also enjoy the same Two Course Meal choices for \u00a32.40 per day.<\/p>\n

Pupils can have soup\u00a0or<\/strong>\u00a0dessert with the main meal as part of a two course lunch, this also includes a drink of either milk or water. They are also entitled to a piece of fresh fruit.<\/p>\n

For our main meal options we\u00a0\u00a0always have a vegetarian option and\u00a0\u00a0plated salad or filled roll\/sandwich options with a choice of fillings.<\/p>\n

Special diets<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Should your child have a specific dietary requirement e.g. a specific food that they cannot eat for health or religious reasons, please complete the\u00a0Specific Dietary Requirement Form<\/a>. The school cook and manager will arrange to meet with you to discuss how best to fulfil your child’s needs.<\/p>\n

If your child prefers a vegetarian diet there is a selection of suitable dishes on the menu every day and you don’t need to complete a Specific Dietary form.<\/p>\n

Fife school meals do not use any ingredients containing nuts but some products may be made in a non-nut-free environment – please\u00a0check our recipes online<\/a>\u00a0for more details.<\/p>\n

We are committed to reducing the impact we have on the environment and are trying to reduce or eliminate packaging and single-use plastics where we can.<\/p>\n

School Lunch is now ordered through the online IPAYimpact system<\/a> . You may have registered with this when your child was in Nursery.\"\"<\/p>\n

We suggest that you access the site weekly, (on a Sunday) with your child so that you can order lunch or identify what your child will be doing for lunch eg school dinner (order meal), packed lunch or home dinners.<\/p>\n
