{"id":7,"date":"2021-03-03T16:36:31","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T16:36:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/hillofbeathps\/?page_id=7"},"modified":"2024-05-12T19:37:18","modified_gmt":"2024-05-12T18:37:18","slug":"pupils","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/hillofbeathps\/pupils\/","title":{"rendered":"Parents &amp; Carers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>ETHOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Visiting the school\/nursery<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All visitors should be greeted warmly and attended to promptly.<\/li>\n<li>Information re Child Protection\/Fire Procedures should be issued on entry to school\/nursery, and all visitors should sign in.<\/li>\n<li>Fife Council staff and professional partners should be escorted to the appropriate area and introduced to school\/nursery staff.<\/li>\n<li>Visitors without an appointment will be asked to wait until office staff can arrange for their needs to be met\/a meeting arranged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parents\/carers\u00a0 should always be:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400\">\n<li>Parents\/pupils should be given induction materials\/information on entry to nursery &amp; school.<\/li>\n<li>They should be made aware of contact details for school\/nursery and encouraged to communicate regularly and to work in partnership with staff in the interests of their child\/ren.<\/li>\n<li>Parents\/carers should be given access to regular updates via newsletters, e-mails and texts<\/li>\n<li>Where a parent has a concern, they should be seen in privacy by a member of staff who knows their child well.<\/li>\n<li>Parents will be invited to regular, informal sessions in school\/ nursery, then to formal meetings to review progress twice a year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ETHOS Visiting the school\/nursery All visitors should be greeted warmly and attended to promptly.
