Visiting the school/nursery
- All visitors should be greeted warmly and attended to promptly.
- Information re Child Protection/Fire Procedures should be issued on entry to school/nursery, and all visitors should sign in.
- Fife Council staff and professional partners should be escorted to the appropriate area and introduced to school/nursery staff.
- Visitors without an appointment will be asked to wait until office staff can arrange for their needs to be met/a meeting arranged.
Parents/carersĀ should always be:
- Parents/pupils should be given induction materials/information on entry to nursery & school.
- They should be made aware of contact details for school/nursery and encouraged to communicate regularly and to work in partnership with staff in the interests of their child/ren.
- Parents/carers should be given access to regular updates via newsletters, e-mails and texts
- Where a parent has a concern, they should be seen in privacy by a member of staff who knows their child well.
- Parents will be invited to regular, informal sessions in school/ nursery, then to formal meetings to review progress twice a year.
