World Book Day 6<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b> March 2025<\/span><\/b> – <\/span>On the lead up to World Book Day on Thursday 6<\/span>th<\/span> March we will be exploring a variety of activities relating to books, stories etc. Nursery staff will walk the children along to Tayport Primary to visit the Book Fair on Tues 4<\/span>th<\/span> March during their nursery session, (more details to follow on how\/when parents can buy books from the Book Fair). On Wednesday our nursery children are welcome to bring in their favourite book to share with everyone. We will also be meeting up with the P6\u2019s during part of our gym time this week, and next week, to share books\/stories. On Friday Mrs Moyes will be having her weekly Book Bug session along at the school. Please keep an eye on See Saw for more information regarding this week\u2019s events.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Parent Council- <\/span><\/b>The next Parent Council meeting will be held in Tayport Primary School on Thursday 3rd April\u00a0 at 6.30pm (TBC).\u00a0 We would like to invite all nursery parents to attend. These meetings provide the opportunity for parents to be involved in the life of nursery and school. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Peep-<\/span><\/b>\u00a0We have sent out a small questionnaire, via Microsoft forms, to gather parents views on preferred days and times for our future PEEP sessions. <\/span>Thank you<\/span><\/b> to all who have already filled this in and also sent feedback. It is much appreciated. We will leave the questionnaire live until Friday 7th March so you still have time to complete this if not already done so! We will use the information from the questionnaire\/feedback to plan our next block of PEEP sessions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Yoga- <\/span><\/b>One our nursery Mums has kindly offered to come and do a yoga session with our nursery children! Any other parents who would like to share their talents in nursery please speak to a member of staff. We love to have our nursery parents share their hobbies, talents, interests in nursery.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Stay & Play Sessions Monday 17<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b> & Tuesday 18<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b> March-<\/span><\/b>We would like to invite parents to stay, for a short time at drop off time, to spend time in nursery with their child to observe\/share their child\u2019s learning, their favourite activities etc. Younger siblings are welcome also <\/span>but will be the sole responsibility of their parents<\/span><\/b>. Please let a member of staff know which day you would like to attend. Should these days not suit please speak to a member of staff so we can arrange an alternative day! Stay & Play sessions are completely optional.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Learning Wall- <\/span><\/b>Our current learning wall is still all about \u2018pets\u2019, Please feel free to share any photos, experiences with your family etc so we can\u00a0 add them to our learning wall. This allows your child to share their home experiences and opens up more questions for children to explore.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Junk Modelling- <\/span><\/b>The junk modelling is very popular and in high demand of recyclable materials. If you could help by bringing in items such as cardboard boxes, egg boxes, ribbon, wool etc. these would be greatly received\u2026 and who knows what creation these will turn into!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Sickness\/Illness<\/span><\/b> \u2013 A gentle reminder that if your child is unwell (e.g. Vomiting & Diarrhoea) the guidelines are 48 hours exclusion from nursery from the last bout of sickness\/diarrhoea.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Lending Library & Activities \u2013 <\/span><\/b>These continue to be housed in our front hall. These are changed regularly providing new activities for you to explore. Please remember to sign books\/activities in and out. Thank you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Weather <\/span><\/b>\u2013 Could all parents please ensure their child is appropriately dressed for the weather, especially on Beach Days, and that all clothing is clearly named. Thank you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span>Borrowed Clothes \u2013 <\/span><\/b>Can parents please remember to return any clothes borrowed from nursery.
