Monday \u00a0– \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Following <\/em>a child\u2019s interest in movement with scarfs Miss Higgins introduced Kodaly marching along to the beat. \u00a0A small group of children joined in marching and skipping to the beat of \u00a0Grand old Duke of York, ABC song and Twinkle Twinkle little star. \u2b50\ufe0f \u00a0Children selected their own resources for the garden, working together well and risk assessing to keep each other safe.<\/p>\n

Tuesday <\/strong>– There was lot\u2019s imaginative play this morning, \u00a0a group of children role playing \u201cdigging up the road,\u201d another group \u00a0used the Doctors kit to role play \u201c hospitals\u201d they built a hospital using the large wooden blocks \u201cwith a track on top \u00a0for the ambulances.\u201dDemonstrating their understanding of the world of work and jobs people do. In the garden some children worked well together to create a run using loose parts. They then experimented with the run using different sized balls to find out \u201cwhich come faster and slower\u201d \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Wednesday – <\/strong>\u00a0a few of the children helped to set up snack, filling up the milk and water jugs and preparing the fruit and vegetables. Most of the children chose to have snack together. While at snack there was a group discussion where children shared their \u00a0thoughts on what makes a \u00a0good snack time together. \u00a0\u201c waiting in line to wash our dishes\u201d \u201c try not waste too \u00a0much food \u201c \u201cwe remember to say please and thank you \u201d \u201cwe remember to brush our teeth.\u201d Children\u2019s ideas were made into The snack Rainbow \u00a0\ud83c\udf08 sheet and added to the wall in the snack area.<\/p>\n

Thursday – \u00a0<\/strong>this morning we watched Blippi learns to recycle \u267b\ufe0f together on the Smartboard in preparation for recycling \u267b\ufe0f week next week. We set up an experiment \ud83e\uddea to see what would happen to different items if we buried them \ud83c\udf4c \u00a0\ud83c\udf5e \ud83e\uddf4 this represents the landfill situation. \u00a0Keep posted to see our results in two weeks time. \u267b\ufe0f<\/p>\n

Friday<\/strong> – This morning we had a Bookbug session in nursery. All of the children helped to plan the session, choosing songs \ud83c\udfb6 rhymes \ud83d\udc20 \ud83d\udd77\ufe0f and a story. All of the children then joined in enthusiastically. Most of the children chose to have snack together. In the garden the trampoline and gymnastic bar were very popular. Some adult support to help with turn taking. With adult support a group of children used the printer to print art off they were interested in. \ud83d\uddbc\ufe0f Adding their own creative touches to the art. \ud83c\udfa8 \ud83d\udd8a\ufe0f<\/p>\n
