Monday 05\/10\/2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today in the nursery , the children were all around doing some role play , upon listening there was a lot of conversation about cars and how we can use the blocks and ramps to use , we were looking to see how fast the cars would go down the ramp and how far they would go , there was exploration of different sizes of shapes and models.<\/p>\n

At the art area , the children were using a variety of \u00a0natural materials to create nature images.<\/p>\n

One child and 2 ladies went out on a little walk to familiarise him with the community as we work towards our beach walks , they talked about safety and looked at the cars going along the road , they even seen some cats and dogs.<\/p>\n

Outdoors , the children have took a real good interest in the water tray, there was a lot of pouring and exploring how the water can go down the funnels, some children were practicing their climbing as we introduced the cube again , where we worked on our turn taking skills and incorporating our signalong in our play.<\/p>\n

\nTuesday 06\/10\/2026<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today in the nursery there was a lot of interest in the playdough with the natural materials to create their own models , there was a mixture of conkers , pine cones , sticks and leaves.
\nOur second group remembered our safety rules as we went through them before going out again down to the harbour , it was a lovely walk and we spotted a man getting the boat of his car to set sail. The second group done great and are ready to tackle the beach after the holidays.<\/p>\n

We introduced the second book of our \u2018Think Equal\u2019 programme , \u2018Is there anyone like me? It sparked some discussion about we are all different in our own way , we talked about our hair , our eyes , some of the ladies have glasses and some don\u2019t , we did a little test to see who knew who as we closed our eyes and someone spoke , we had to figure out who it was!
\nWe learned new sign-along words this week to.
\n\u2018finished and toilet\u2019<\/p>\n

Outdoors there was a lot of physical play , climbing , running , playing football and on the bikes.<\/p>\n

Wednesday 07\/10\/2026<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Today in the nursery we had a lovely slow start to the morning as we had a fire place on to have a calming atmosphere, a lot of the children took their shoes off and relaxed at the screen.
\nSome children took an interest in creating their own jewellery with pipe cleaners , a lot of working towards our cutting skills also.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Introducing \u2018is there any one like me\u2019 again there was further discussion , which sparked talking about the differences of our families , some of our mums and dads were tall , small , some of us had brothers or sisters.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Some of the children took an interest in the smart board games and and drawing , which then formed letters to explore their literacy skills.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Outdoors the children were washing a lot of the cars as they created their own car wash.<\/div>\n

Thursday 08\/10\/2026.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\nToday to start off the morning we had a stay and play session , where a couple parents stayed with their children as they played in the morning , playdough was made and a sprinkle of peep through out the nursery.<\/div>\n
Some children were making their own \u2018clothes\u2019 with a lot of different designs for pants , skirts , belts with a little support from the ladies choosing colours and materials.<\/div>\n
\nAt circle time we sang some songs with some choosing a variety of different tunes.<\/div>\n
In the afternoon children were dancing along to the actions of Danny go, where they spent a a lot of time burning off energy. Also some yoga to chill out.<\/div>\n
Outdoors the children were in the mud pit where they found some worms and used the mud as food.<\/div>\n

Friday 09\/10\/2026.<\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Today in the nursery it was full of role play , creative writing , box drawing or using them as houses..<\/div>\n
A few children were in the story corner looking at books with the blankets or doing the jigsaws.<\/p>\n

Outdoors there was a variety of play where some children were role playing with babies , fishing with their sticks using imaginative play.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Some children were curious about the song \u2018Three little kittens\u2019<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Circle time was different today as some of us confidently stood up in the middle to do a little dance and chant \u2018Who am I , I am me\u2019 from our book this week , there was a lot of silly dances , moves , some weren\u2019t so confident at first but managed with a little encouragement and praise from their peers , it then lead to a lot of songs and dancing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
In the afternoon Danny go was another big interest as the they were reacting the knight story!<\/p>\n
