And we are back with a bang!<\/p>\n

Monday:<\/p>\n

We are all happy to be back at nursery after the Easter break. We\u2019ve been back exploring the nursery garden this morning. Some of us made unicorn stones for the garden using pens. Next we lined them up and counted how many we have.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Some of us found the spare sand outside, so we did some mark making with our fingers and then used the trucks and vehicles to see what marks they make.<\/p>\n

Next we noticed the strawberry plants that Mrs Cameron brought in. We talked about the best place in the garden to plant them.
\n\u201cI know, we need rain and that makes strawberries\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dThey won\u2019t grow yet, maybe in half an hour\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dHow DO strawberries grow?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201dLook!\u201d<\/p>\n

Tuesday:<\/p>\n

Today was Beach Day for some of us. Lots of climbing rocks, playing in rock pools and digging with buckets and spades. We spotted lots of different wildlife and interesting things on the river.<\/p>\n

On the way back we counted how many bird houses we could see.<\/p>\n

We came together for a story and some song time before lunch.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re getting very good at the \u201cDays of the Week\u201d song and \u201cZoom, Zoom, Zoom!\u201d<\/p>\n

Wednesday:<\/p>\n

Today lots of us played outdoors in the sunshine, on the bikes are scooters, or climbing on the wooden cubes, practising balance.
\nDinosaurs were another big hit this morning, building habitats with sand and grass.<\/p>\n

After lunch was Fairy School!
\nWe made wings and crowns and had lots of fun using our imagination to create stories.<\/p>\n

Thursday:<\/p>\n

This morning was gym. We had ring games followed by time on the Trim Trail in the playground. We had fun exploring the new equipment and investigating all the different areas of the playground.\"\" \"\"
\nAfter gym we took out the musical instruments and made our own songs. We used the chime bars, maracas, and tambourine.<\/p>\n

\u201dThis makes a Ch, Ch, Ch noise\u201d<\/p>\n

Friday:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We started today by watching a programme about frogs and lifecycles, to support our learning wall interest of nature.<\/p>\n

Lots of fun in the sun again today \ud83c\udf1e making \u201cpotions\u201d.<\/p>\n

We had Together Time outside again with a story about a shaggy dog.
\nWe all had our listening ears on today so we learned a new song about firefighters! We also sang some of our favourites, Zoom, Zoom, Days of the Week and Humpty Dumpty.<\/p>\n

Phew! Another busy week at Ferryport Nursery.<\/p>\n
