Nursery\/School Holidays \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The Easter holidays will\u00a0commence\u00a0for our term time children on\u00a0Thursday 2nd\u00a0April 2026\u00a0at 3.00pm\u00a0and our term time children will return on Monday 20<\/span>th<\/span> April\u00a02026 at 9.00am.\u00a0 Nursery will be open as usual for our 49 Week AM children\u00a0during the Easter period.\u00a0During this\u00a0time\u00a0please note that our 49\u00a0week\u00a0 AM\u00a0children will receive \u2018The Big Breakfast\u2019 rather than the School Lunch.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stay & Play Sessions\u00a0Monday 20<\/span><\/b>th<\/span><\/b>\u00a0April\u00a0&\u00a0Wednesday 22<\/span><\/b>nd\u00a0<\/span><\/b>April-<\/span><\/b>We would like to invite parents to stay,\u00a0for\u00a0a short time\u00a0at drop off time,\u00a0to spend time in nursery with their child\u00a0to\u00a0observe\/share\u00a0their child\u2019s learning, their favourite activities etc. Younger siblings are welcome also\u00a0<\/span>but will be the sole responsibility of their parents<\/span><\/b>.\u00a0Stay & Play sessions are completely optional.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Easter \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Leading up to, and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>over the Easter period, the children will enjoy a range of fun and engaging activities including seasonal stories, songs, rhymes and, of course, an Easter Egg hunt. These experiences are designed to create a fun filled atmosphere while supporting the children\u2019s learning and development.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Learning Wall \u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Our new Learning Wall theme is\u00a0<\/span>Nature<\/span>! Over the next few weeks, the children will be exploring and learning about\u00a0different aspects\u00a0of the natural world, including\u00a0<\/span>plants, insects, and lifecycles<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re\u00a0especially excited that\u00a0<\/span>Ms Paige has brought in frog spawn from her garden pond<\/span>. The children will have the opportunity to\u00a0observe\u00a0how the frog spawn changes and develops over time. Once the frogs reach the\u00a0appropriate stage, they will be\u00a0<\/span>returned safely to her garden pond<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We would love to include\u00a0<\/span>photos, stories, or experiences from home<\/span>\u00a0on our Learning Wall. If you have any\u00a0nature themed\u00a0adventures\u2014perhaps spotting\u00a0insects, planting seeds, visiting parks, or\u00a0observing\u00a0wildlife\u2014please feel free to share them with us.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This helps your child make meaningful connections between nursery and home, encourages rich conversations, and\u00a0opens up\u00a0even more opportunities for curiosity, questions, and exploration.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Parental Engagement\u00a0–<\/span><\/b>Our\u00a0<\/span>Parent Suggestion and Comment Book<\/span>\u00a0is\u00a0available in the front hall.\u00a0We\u2019d\u00a0really appreciate it if you could take a few moments to share any thoughts or ideas with us. Your feedback helps us celebrate\u00a0what\u2019s\u00a0going well and\u00a0identify\u00a0ways we can continue to improve. Comments can be anonymous.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Many children have been excited to share their\u00a0<\/span>experiences and achievements from home<\/span>\u2014such as birthday celebrations, family adventures, learning new skills (like swimming or riding a bike), or other personal milestones. We would love to add these to their PLJs.\u00a0using the<\/span>\u00a0\u2018Learning at Home\u2019 sheets. These sheets<\/span>\u00a0are available in\u00a0the front hall of nursery\u00a0for you to take home. Once completed, please return them to nursery and either place them in your child\u2019s PLJ\u00a0with your child,\u00a0or ask a member of staff to add them for you.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Junk Modelling-\u00a0<\/span><\/b>The junk modelling is\u00a0very popular\u00a0and in high demand of recyclable\u00a0materials. If you could help\u00a0by\u00a0bringing\u00a0in items such as cardboard boxes, egg boxes, ribbon, wool\u00a0etc.\u00a0these would\u00a0be\u00a0greatly received\u2026 and who knows what creation these will turn into!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sickness\/Illness<\/span><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 A gentle reminder that if your child is unwell (e.g. Vomiting & Diarrhoea) the guidelines are 48 hours exclusion from nursery from the last bout of sickness\/diarrhoea.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lending Library\u2013\u00a0<\/span><\/b>These continue to be housed in our front hall.\u00a0These are changed regularly providing new\u00a0books\u00a0for you to explore.\u00a0Please remember to sign books in and out. Thank you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Weather\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u2013 Could all parents please ensure their child is appropriately dressed for the weather, especially on Beach Days,\u00a0and that all clothing is clearly named.\u00a0Please ensure your child comes to nursery with a coat every day, as even if the weather is sunny, it can still be chilly in the shady areas of our garden.\u00a0Thank you!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
