Monday 

This morning we had a group discussion in preparation for our shore visits. We talked about keeping safe using SIMOA. We remembered our “look think act “ campaign. We talked about wearing our yellow vests to be seen 👀 and how we cross the road safely.

Tuesday 

We moved our bodies to the music on a “Danny go” exercise 🏃🏿‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️  program on our smartboard. Using technology to support our learning. Good listening and following instructions by all of the children who choose to join in. We talked about moving our bodies to keep healthy.

 

Wednesday

Today a group of children went to the charity shop. We talked about money and that we use it to buy things. We bought some tartan material and an old suitcase 🧳. When we brought our purchases back the other children were excited to explore and talk about what we can use them for.  We had a lovely walk making the most of the sunshine.

Thursday 

We have been talking about authors and illustrators today with a focus on Julie Donald’s and Axel Scheffler. Some of the children know that the author writes the words and the Illustrator draws the pictures. We listened to the story A squash and a squeeze . 📖

We have been exploring the magnetic letters, putting them in alphabetical order while saying the correct letter and selecting AEIOU.

Friday

 

This morning we set up new easel at the painting area. It had been very busy with lots of beautiful paintings 🖼️ created. Good sharing and lots of discussions about what colours and brushes to use.

We had a Bookbug session this morning in nursery. We listened to the story “The dragon who didn’t like fire. Played games with the Lycra and sang lots of songs and rhymes together.
