Ferryport Nursery runs a full year model (49 weeks), offering half day sessions.

This year (2024-2025), in consultation with our stakeholders, we are only offering morning sessions: 8:00am to 12:40pm

Our adult to child ratio is 1:8.

• When entering through the Ferryport Nursery gate into the tarmac area, please ensure you close the bolt.
• On entry/exit to the nursery building, the adult dropping off, should support your child to ‘sign in/out’ using their personalised wooden slice located on a reel in the playroom.
• Please encourage your child to be independent when hanging up their coat, bag and changing into their indoor shoes and when collecting items at the end of the session.
• If you are aware someone different will be collecting your child, please let a member of the Team know at drop off.
• If there is an unexpected change with the person collecting your child, please telephone the nursery as we can only release your child to the person indicated at drop off.
• The front entrance has a buzzer system for visitors.
• The children are NOT permitted to press the security entrance release buttons.
• Please telephone the nursery as soon as possible (01334 659495), if your child shall not be attending a session so your child can be registered as absent. We are required to telephone, if you have not informed us of your child’s absence.
• Please note any contagious illness or infection should be reported to a member of the nursery team.
• Children should kept away from nursery for 48 hours after the last bout of sickness or diarrhoea.
• All information will be treated confidentially.
