We want your child to be comfortable when they are in the nursery, so here some suggestions:

• Footwear safe to climb in
• Trousers that are easy for toileting
• Clothes appropriate for the weather as we play outside throughout the year.

Pease provide a change of clothing for your child in case he/she gets wet  This is especially important on days your child will be involved in Beach or Forest Kindergarten.

We want your child to be comfortable and at ease when they are in the nursery. Children in nursery have the opportunity to participate in a variety of different experiences every day which may involve mud, glue, and paint. Learning can be messy! Your child may get covered in paint, glue and mud during their nursery session. Please don’t send them in their best clothes and dress your child in older clothes for their nursery experience.

Outdoor Play and Learning

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for nursery as children have the opportunity every day to play outside.

Playing and learning outdoors offers other benefits, such as development of the senses: hearing; vision; smell; and spatial awareness, as well as increasing capacity for learning.                                 My World Outdoors – Care Inspector

We ask that your child has wellingtons, waterproof jackets, warm jumper, waterproof trousers, hats and gloves for outdoor play. We do have spares available.

As the children are involved in physical activities/play every day it is very important that they are appropriately dressed. We ask that your children do not wear any jewellery as this can be a health/safety risk.

The mud will wash off, but the memories will last a lifetime.
