Welcome to our East Wemyss Nursery.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This section includes information of interest to the\u00a0nursery and wider community served by the nursery.<\/p>\n

The aims of the nursery include providing a safe and stimulating\u00a0child centred environment in which children\u00a0and their families\/carers can feel welcomed, happy and secure.\u00a0The staff encourage the\u00a0development of children through Literacy and English, Maths and Numeracy and Health and Wellbeing.<\/p>\n

The children have opportunity to go for local community walks eg, beach, caves and local woods to name a few. The children also have daily access to free flow outdoor play in all weathers.<\/p>\n

Castle Room is registered to care for a maximum of 30 children in our 9-3 session. Seashore Room is registered to care for 24 children in our AM and PM session.<\/p>\n

The children can access snack both in the morning and afternoon and get lunch in the dinner hall between 12.00-12.30 for the 9-3 children. Free Fife Council lunches are provided, however children can bring a packed lunch if they prefer. Both AM and PM children are provided with a snack from the kitchen which they have in the nursery, as well as snack from the nursery during their session. If your child has any dietary requirements please talk to a member of staff.<\/p>\n

Nursery sessions are as follows:<\/p>\n

AM 4 hour 40 Session: 8.00am-12.40pm<\/p>\n

PM 4 hour 40 Session: 1.40pm-6.00pm<\/p>\n

All day sessions 9.00am-3.00pm<\/p>\n

We are proud to share that, in January 2026, our nursery was awarded the Digital Learning and Teaching Early Years Award, as well as the Digital Wellbeing Award!<\/p>\n
