It is used to identify the stage of English language acquisition.<br \/>\n<strong>Planning<\/strong> &#8211; it can be used to set targets for EAL learners through the five stages of English language acquisition.<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting<\/strong> &#8211; it can be used to inform parents and other agencies of progress.<br \/>\n<strong>Identifying<\/strong> specific areas of difficulty as well as h<strong>ighlighting<\/strong> the possibility of additional support needs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note: the profile has been designed to monitor and track the progress of<\/em><br \/>\n<em>English language acquisition only.
