WELLBEING RESOURCES

Emotional Wellbeing

There are lots of self help resources for children, young people and families available online. Please see link below to CAMHs with many online supports for particular mental health topics.

CAMHS – Things to Try

Access Therapies Fife provides a range of local supports and services for children and young people experiencing mental health problems.

Wellbeing in Fife is a fantastic Facebook page where you can find support groups, online groups and courses for children, young people and families.

At Dysart Primary School we provide Normalising Anxiety Programme as devised by CAMHS, twice a year.

We also provide Seasons for Growth support group for children impacted by loss and change (for example bereavement).

We work closely with our partners at The Cottage Therapeutic Service and DAPL to refer children for Art, Play and Talking therapy sessions.

For children who are caring for a relative we work alongside Fife Young Carers to ensure our young carers are well supported. For more information visit Information about Fife Young Carers.

We regularly plan for children to engage in wellbeing groups such as Lego Therapy to improve social skills.

Please get in touch via the school office if you would like to discuss any of these supports and Mrs Cunningham, Miss Hutton or Mrs Thompson would be happy to help.
