We also run a fully outdoor provision called the <strong>Little Squirrels<\/strong>, located in the Calaiswoods.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Busy Bees<\/strong> \u00a0and <strong>Flowertots<\/strong>\u00a0are accessed through a secure entrance, between Calaiswood and Duloch primary and comprises of two large rooms with shared kitchen and toilet facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Our <strong>Caterpillars<\/strong>\u00a0room is accessed through a secure entry system via the community centre.<\/p>\n<p>Within our nursery there is a quiet room &#8211; which is also used as our music room &#8211;\u00a0a family room and an office.\u00a0 The completely enclosed garden and safe surfaced play area within the grounds of the school playground is accessible for all nursery rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Our nursery can accommodate up to 160 children from age 3.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Securing a place in a school nursery class does not guarantee a primary school place will be available in the corresponding primary school.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080\"><strong><u>4 hours 40 minutes session<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Morning Session \u2013 8.00am &#8211; 12:40pm<\/li>\n<li>Afternoon Session \u2013 1:20pm &#8211; 6pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080\"><u>6 hours<\/u><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full Day \u2013 9am &#8211; 3pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Little Squirrels<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Little Squirrels we spend the whole session outdoors no matter what the weather.<\/p>\n<p id=\"x__pb6lxGZu33rrE7\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">The opportunities for the children are endless&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul id=\"x__dGDjQszX8Osdhv\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<li id=\"x__cnQBsmlicjI7zE\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">they can connect with and develop a deep appreciation of nature<\/li>\n<li id=\"x__jqJFLDPaqDs6Bl\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">they have the autonomy to lead their own learning<\/li>\n<li id=\"x__AGCB7jbDvmsxEa\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">they will engage in adventurous play, developing their own awareness of risk which builds confidence and resilience<\/li>\n<li id=\"x__2lOoESFOfpOjnJ\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">they will learn new skills &#8211; den building, cooking, whittling and many more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"x__tM04O8E7cPXlGW\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">The children learn to appreciate being out in all weathers and the learning opportunities that different types of weather can provide.<\/p>\n<p id=\"x__SI2Y1Qyas21MPZ\" class=\"x_ContentPasted0\" dir=\"ltr\">Being immersed in nature gives children the space to &#8216;be me&#8217; and has proven benefits in supporting physical health and development which are the building blocks to cognitive and pre literacy skills and a readiness to learn.
