At Donbristle Primary School we are using the ‘Meta Skills’.
Children are developing their skills all the time to explore the world around them.
Meta-skills are innate, timeless, higher-order skills that create adaptive learners and promote success in whatever context the future brings. Teachers will ensure skills are visi-
ble and understood by the children. Through teach-
ing and learning, there will be opportunities for the children to explore skills.
The Skills Development Scotland meta-skills progression framework has been developed in collaboration with partners and practitioners from across Scotland and aims to help with identifying and understanding what meta-skills look like in the classroom.
