As part of the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) initiative, we have identified 6 key transferable skills that we aim to help our pupils develop. These skills include:
- Communication
- Thinking
- Resilience
- Leadership
- Creativity
- Organisation and Responsibility
Our home learning philosophy is now in its 5th year. As such, we will be relaunching our home learning approach in line with the DYW initiative and will be engaging our pupils in discussing the skills they are developing through completing these tasks. Expect a parent workshop on this in the coming weeks! In school, the children will also be focussing on developing these specific skills within the context of their current learning in class.
