Literacy experiences will build on and grow children\u2019s interests, vocabulary and knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Practitioners will use a robust knowledge of children\u2019s progress and to identify and support their next steps in literacy learning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>High-quality interactions will demonstrate consistent universal \u2018Communication High Five\u2019 strategies across all play spaces.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Children with low eLIPS scores will experience appropriate intervention and support through high-quality planning, monitoring and evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Practitioners will increase their understanding and skills in ensuring the interactions, experiences and spaces offer exciting possibilities for children to deepen their knowledge and build literacy and communication skills.<\/p>\n<p>Families will have a shared understanding of how to support their child\u2019s language and literacy development and be better supported to identify their child\u2019s next steps.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nursery Priority 2:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><strong>All children\u2019s learning and development will be supported through improved parental and community engagement.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A strengthened culture of empowerment will support families to exercise initiative and contribute to the life and work of the nursery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Strong partnership between home and nursery will develop positive relationships and improve all children\u2019s learning and development.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Children will talk about their learning at home and nursery with increasing confidence, using displays and PLJs.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A clear program of universal family learning opportunities throughout the year will enable parents\/carers to meaningfully engage in their children\u2019s learning at home and within nursery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Where appropriate, more targeted support is offered in a homely space to families that enables them to meet their individual needs and foster confidence and self-esteem.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Staff and families work closely together to identify next steps in children\u2019s learning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Strong partnership working will build confidence and skill of families to develop positive life skills and dispositions towards learning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>2024-2025: Nursery Priority 1: All children\u2019s communication and language learning will progress through literacy rich experiences, interactions and spaces.
