{"id":127,"date":"2021-03-18T09:27:16","date_gmt":"2021-03-18T09:27:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/dalgetybayps\/?page_id=127"},"modified":"2021-03-18T10:31:04","modified_gmt":"2021-03-18T10:31:04","slug":"eco-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/dalgetybayps\/school\/initiatives\/eco-page\/","title":{"rendered":"Eco Page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>27th March 2017 &#8211; Helping the Earth &#8211; Making Earth!<\/p>\n<p>This week the Eco Reps have been finding out how to make compost.\u00a0 We know we need wet and dry ingredients.<\/p>\n<p>We have started two new compost bins to make our own soil.\u00a0 We need to make soil for our plants to grow in the garden.<\/p>\n<p>The Eco Reps are beginning to understand some of our waste can be useful and we want to collect and use this waste to benefit our school garden and reduce the waste DBPS produces.<\/p>\n<p>The Eco reps have asked our kitchen ladies if they will collect their fruit and vegetable waste and put it into the compost bins.\u00a0 Each class is also going to collect fruit waste and put it into the compost bins along with paper (to keep the mixture good for the insects), who will help to break it down into soil.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>27th March 2017 &#8211; Helping the Earth &#8211; Making Earth!
