{"id":461,"date":"2021-11-12T23:21:10","date_gmt":"2021-11-12T23:21:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/dairsieps\/?page_id=461"},"modified":"2025-07-31T18:02:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T17:02:41","slug":"parent-portal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/dairsieps\/ethos-life-of-the-school\/parents-and-carers\/parent-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"PARENT PORTAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<header class=\"entry-header\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\"><strong style=\"font-size: 16px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/Parentsportal.scot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Parentsportal.scot<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;font-weight: 400\"> is a new digital service to help replace the traditional school bag run by providing direct communication to parents through a growing suite of online services.<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p><strong>What is <a href=\"http:\/\/parentsportal.scot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">parentsportal.scot<\/a>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In support of Fife Council\u2019s ambition to continue improvement in parental engagement we have been working with national partners to develop a \u201cParents Portal\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The portal will be developed to provide parents with a clear insight to their child\u2019s education and to support transactional communications between parents and the school.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for a Parents Portal customer account uses the MtGovScot (My Account) Service. This is a secure and trusted service provided by the Scottish Government. Parents using Pay\/IPayimpact will already have a My Account username and password.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This new service will introduce information about the school and will allow you to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>link to you child<\/li>\n<li>view school calendar<\/li>\n<li>view your child\u2019s attendance<\/li>\n<li>complete the annual data check process electronically<\/li>\n<li>update your own as well as your child\u2019s details at any time<\/li>\n<li>access Parent Zone and Fife.gov.uk<\/li>\n<li>access your child\u2019s parents evenings<\/li>\n<li>report your child\u2019s absence from school<\/li>\n<li>view your child\u2019s report card (where available)<\/li>\n<li>view and authorise child\u2019s permission slips for trips, clubs etc<\/li>\n<li>view and access school social media sites and websites<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is an exciting first phase of a new initiative which enables and creates a digital relationship between parents, pupils and schools.<\/p>\n<p>Please click here <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fife.gov.uk\/parentsportal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.fife.gov.uk\/parentsportal<\/a> for more information and details how to sign up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Parentsportal.scot is a new digital service to help replace the traditional school bag run by providing direct communication to parents through a growing suite of online services.
