We were recently approached by the activity coordinator at Lunardi House to see if we would be interested in being involved in a literacy project. We seized the opportunity as we are well aware of the huge benefits to young and old which occur as a result of such a partnership!
The literacy project involved pupils writing stories for the residents to enjoy. The comment below captures how well received the stories were.
Thank you for the wonderful stories and drawings from the pupils at Dairsie Primary. Wow, to say there was an eclectic mixture of style, thought and creativity would be an understatement. Our residents loved the stories, short or long, and some of the artwork was worth gazing at on its own merit. We have taken awhile to read each story, one of our residents read all of them aloud for us! We are so glad that the Qubugangula was stopped and that the flamingos were kept and the dog saved the planet and, oh so much more!
Please thank your talented pupils – long may their creative journey continue!
