Dairsie Primary is situated in the picturesque village of Dairsie, which is in North East Fife on the main road between St. Andrews and Cupar. On a clear day we enjoy fabulous views of the Lomond Hills and open fields. The current building was completed in 1970 but there has been a school on this site since 1868.

The opportunity to educate other peoples’ children is a privilege, bringing with it a huge responsibility to provide the best education possible. At Dairsie we take this responsibility extremely seriously. We care about the individual and pride ourselves on our nurturing ethos and sense of community.
We strive to create an environment where children are encourged and provided with a range of opportunities to build on and develop skills, values and attitudes to be happy, confident individuals. We firmly believe school should be fun, happy places.
We live in exciting and fast changing times and this means that providing a progressive and well-rounded education is more important than ever. There is a strong focus on developing children’s skills for life, learning and work which we achieve by providing exciting real life opportunities, such as working in various roles at our community cafes , taking risks in our outdoor classroom and problem solving through social enterprise activities.
To do this we aim to deliver relevant, motivating lessons that capture children’s imagination and provide opportunities for exploration, creativity and success. We actively encourage our pupils to share their wider achievements and openly celebrate successes in assemblies and share them with the wider community through our weekly updates.
