At Dairsie, Learning for Sustainability (LfS) is a key part of our curriculum and school ethos. Pupils are actively involved in projects that promote environmental awareness, global citizenship and sustainable development. These include our monthly glass collection service, growing vegetables in our polytunnel, repurposing materials into useful products and running eco-friendly enterprise stalls.
Sustainability is explored through class topics, outdoor learning and whole-school initiatives linked to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We encourage pupil voice and action through leadership groups like our Eco Committee, House Captains and Junior Road Safety Officers. Learning for Sustainability is embedded across subjects, helping pupils develop critical thinking, creativity and a strong sense of responsibility. By connecting local action with global impact we aim to empower our learners to become confident, caring citizens who are ready to shape a fairer, greener future.
We have created our very own 12 days of a Sustainable Christmas song! We hope you enjoy it.
