At Dairsie Primary we offer a broad and balanced curriculum designed to help every child grow in knowledge, skills and confidence. Learning is planned across eight key curricular areas as outlined in Scotland’s Curriculum for Excellence:
-
Literacy and English
-
Numeracy and Mathematics
-
Health and Wellbeing
-
Sciences
-
Social Studies
-
Expressive Arts
-
Technologies
-
Religious and Moral Education
Each area is taught in a way that is engaging and meaningful, helping children make connections between subjects and apply their learning in real-life situations. Where possible, we use an interdisciplinary approach that links learning across different areas, making it more relevant and enjoyable for our pupils.
Our curriculum is also enriched by a strong focus on sustainability, digital learning, creativity and pupil voice. Through play, exploration, discussion and hands-on experiences, we aim to develop the whole child and prepare them for learning, life and work.
