At Dairsie Primary, keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do. Every child has the right to feel happy, protected and valued, and we work closely with families, partners and our wider community to make sure this happens every day.
We follow Fife Council and national Child Protection and GIRFEC guidelines to safeguard all pupils. All staff are trained regularly so they know how to spot concerns, listen carefully to children, and take the right action to keep them safe. If we ever have a worry about a child’s wellbeing, we will work with parents and carers whenever possible to support them and make sure the child gets the help they need.
If you have any concerns about a child, no matter how small, please speak to us.
Our Designated Child Protection Coordinator and Depute Child Protection Coordinator are here to listen, help and guide you.
Safeguarding is a shared responsibility. By working together, we can make sure every child in our school community is safe, nurtured and ready to thrive.

All children and young people in Fife have a right to be cared for and protected. We all have a part to play to ensure that children feel safe and have their needs met. In Fife, we believe that “child protection is everyone’s job and everyone’s responsibility”.
The Fife Child Protection web pages offer comprehensive information on policy and procedure.
