About our School

Commercial Primary School opened in 1970 and was previously sited in Commercial School Lane.

The school is situated beside the public park in the heart of the historic town of Dunfermline and enjoys an open green campus shared with our friends at the neighbouring school of St Margaret’s Roman Catholic Primary School. We do not have a school nursery so many of our children attend the nursery in St Margaret’s or Beanstalk Nurture Centre prior to starting with us in Primary 1.

The school has 14 classroom spaces, and currently has 13 classes from P1-7. We have  a gym hall which is also used for our assemblies and dining area.  We have a separate music/drama space, an additional classroom space which can be used to support a range of learning opportunities and an outdoor quad space which allows us to explore loose parts, team building and learning for sustainability.
